What else will that little chip monitor? Will it have encoded cookie capability? Is there any limit to our paranoia? Or their desire to control us?

I think the Pentium 3 chips already have an identifer in them. Supposedly you can "turn it off".

That's true. Or you can only select that it not identify itself when you first use it.
