Last year, I bought an item from eBay. Normal emails back & forth, etc., and a very nice person to deal with. Got the item, was thrilled, wrote back to tell him, then got this long drawn-out email from him about his life, etc., and how he felt we knew each other in a past life and all that. Then he sent me a picture of him in his birthday suit, telling me he was in Playgirl and all this stuff. Has anything like this happened to you??

(I was just thinking about it all today, so I looked up to see if he was still selling and he is!!)

Wow! KD nothing like that has ever happened to me. My transactions are boring.

Buy something again and see what happens, see if he gets the same vibes. Or does he send his picture to all his female customers?

I don't know....maybe it's me, but I think guys posing nude look like they've just had an operation or something. Anyway, I'd NEVER write him back or buy from him! I'm sure he must have done this to others enchanted, because I never said anything but thanks for the item. I also wondered how the naked pictured tied in with knowing me in a former life? It all made me wonder if anything this weird has happened to anyone else...

P.S. You can email me if you want to check out his listings.

Nope, nothing even close to this ever happened to me. "Weirdest" seller I ever dealt with wanted to be sure I was a Catholic before shipping the item I'd won. I lied and said, "Sure!".

Go ahead and post a link to the guy's auctions, Krafty, no one's lookin' ...

post it or could you email me at [email protected] because I don't have your email, Krafty. Thanks

I wonder whether he meets many people that way. Is Ebay his online dating service? People can be soo strange.

I think spaz was mistaken for Johnny Depp....this guy was more along the lines of a Hume Cronyn.

I wouldn't dare post his auctions Pat.....could be somebody from here.

Kraft--
That is very weird-- but funny too.
My customers are all fairly boring, but that is good too.
My weirdest transaction was also funny. My oldest sister collects a certain cartoon character ("collects" is putting it mildly-- she has a museum) and so all of the toys and things I find with this character she gets first dibs on. I found one that she had several of so she told me to go ahead and ebay it. I posted it and when it sold I mentioned to the bidder that my sis collects these and they were lucky that she already had several so I was "allowed" to sell this one. They emailed back and were very friendly and asked what her name was since the collectors all pretty much know one another, etc. I told her my sisters name and she emailed me back this weird email saying how my sister had ripped her off and that she couldn't possibly buy this thing from me now, knowing that I was related to her and so on. This puzzled me because my sister is very honest and would never cheat anyone, so I emailed my sister and explained the whole thing to her and asked her what to do. Turned out that it was one of her good buddies who was just messing with me and I fell for it. We all had a good laugh and everything was fine.

That was my most bizarre.

kraftdinner, just how do guys posing nude look like they just had an operation? Now, maybe it's just ME, but that really made me laugh.

Yes, I had a real winner once. This guy bid way high on a pair of shoes and offered me an extra $50.00 if I put bread in the shoes and walked around in them for an hour...When I declined he passed on the shoes.

Heck. I would have taken him up on it, kyms. 50 bucks is well worth the time it would take to dig smushed bread out from between your toes.

Yet another good reason for webmail vs ISP's. Most people would pay extra not to have breadcrumbs in their shoes, I'd think.
