My grandfather and father are the hardest guys in the world to figure out what to get them as gifts. Ok, add my brother to the list.
I finally thought of something that they will all love! But I have no idea where to find them or where people get these ideas!
Let me try to explain. There are like gag things. Here are some that I have given and or seen in the past:
Snowman Poop - Miniature white marshmallows in a baggy.
Glazed Donut Seed - Frosted Cheerio in a baggy.
Cowboy Bubble bath - Beans in a baggy.
Over the hill pills - Smarties in a baggy with each color for a different cause.
IRS Tax shelter - A carpet tack inside a wooden cage or under a shelter.
A Quarter Pounder - A block of wood with a imbedded quarter and a hammer.
A belly button cleaner - A bead with a pipe cleaner on the tip ( looks like a mini toilet brush).
My grandfather still talks about most of this things I have sent him in the past. I thought for the new year, I would like to send him a least 1 a month. Just to make him smile. And of course, to have something to share with the other old folks he meets after church on Sundays at the local Burger King!

Although, I don't have anything specific to suggest, your post struck a cord...In my state, we have two major colleges that are big rivals....University of Texas and A & M University.
We have tea-sipping jokes for the Longhorns and "dumb" jokes for the Aggies...The Aggie jokes are very popular.
One year, the big "gift" to give someone from A&M was a 3-hole brick painted maroon (school's color) placed on a piece of wood which read: "Aggie Bowling Ball".
You'd be surprised how many businessmen in Texas have those on their desk!
You'll also find lots of "tea" cups too! They ususally come with instructions on how to use it left or right handed, or the proper way to hold the pinky....
I have always wondered about who comes up with these ideas myself....

do a search on ebay for poop pen. I got one of these for my mother-in-law for christmas (among other things) and it was a big hit.
