Has anyone seen this film? If so, what did you think of it?
I think it's a film that stays with you after you've left the theater because it poses so many questions. There were many good performances and uneasy ethical or moral issues raised.
Here's a quick synopsis from the Washington Post:
*IN THE BEDROOM (R, 131 minutes) -- Matt (Tom Wilkinson) and Ruth Fowler (Sissy Spacek), a middle-aged couple living in a small town in Maine, face a lifetime of bitterness and unresolved rage when they suffer a brutal loss in the family. This psychological drama, which pits New England stoicism against unbearable grief, is a riveting experience. But despite a harrowing story, we see unforgettable characters emerge and discover their true strengths. Wilkinson's turn as Matt is stunning in its subtlety, and Spacek may have produced the best performance of her career. Marisa Tomei, who plays Natalie, a working-class single mother caught in this maelstrom of pain, has one of her finest performances, too. Contains obscenity, violence and sexual situations.

I thought this was a sex thread.
I haven't seen the movie, but I want to see Lantana with Geoffrey Rush and Barbara Hershey. I'll see if your movie is playing here. You have the right to an informed opinion -Harlan Ellison

Lol, snowyegret. That's what I thought when I first saw the title - "what is this? a remake of "sex, lies, and videotape"?

If I saw that title without knowing anything about the film, I would think it was a 6 1/2 Weeks redux. And here I was, wondering what Sissy Spacek was up to. You have the right to an informed opinion -Harlan Ellison

Julesy, I agree. It was a tough movie to watch, all the more so because it didn't rely on typical Hollywood gimmicks.
