Why are so many buyers refusing to fill out the WBN??I got a reply on 2 today. Not filled out, just a reply to the effect that they thought it wasn't important to fill it out.
One says " I have already paid with my credit card" Down below that it says" my shipping information if you need it" and writes her address.
I want them to fill out the WBN, the information is what THEY type in, I am then not on the hook for shipping to the wrong address etc.
I have already turned off that awful checkout feature, what is it that has them confused? What is this "request for total"? I think this may be the problem. Any insight would be most appreciated. Thanks!

If your WBN goes through a third party site a lot of people won't fill it out. I won't. I won't even bid on auctions that say you have to go to another place to fill out the form . Why? I want to do business with the one I buy from. I like the personal touch. I also will not give my personal information to any third party not of my own choosing. Just the way I am.

If it is a form you yourself send out then I would fill it out. What's the difference as long as you get the necessary information you need to ship?

Unfortunately, I think that you are fighting a losing battle. You are lucky that you get 'any' communication...even if it's only, "I'm not going to fill out the dam WBN.

BTW You may get better answers on the Ebay Outlook page. That page is a better source for problems such as you are having.

The WBN is annoying. So is other auction management stuff the buyer has to fill out. It makes it easier for the seller but is a PITA to many buyers.

When I bid on something I want to see email from the seller (automated is OK) and go to PayPal or Billpoint to pay unless I'm mailing a check or MO. Anyplace else you send me is going to seem like an unnecessary extra step to me. Making the buyer do extra work (even if it seems inconsequential to you) doesn't score points.

I do not like WBN's, either and will not bid on auctions that obviously use them. Sorry.
