Are there any veterans groups that tour Vietnam? My husband was stationed at Nha Trang and often talks about going back to see the country, particularly Nha Trang. He hasn't been active in any veterans' activities. I thought that he might be more interested in going with a group rather than with me, since I'm the one who has to take the initiative to plan all our trips and it's an area I don't know much about.

Yes, there a several organized trips each year with selectable itinerary organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America and by various unit organizations.
I just recycled the latest VVA newspaper or I'd have stuff I could give you right now, but I know that aside VVA, the 1st Infantry Division Association does this also. I'm a life member of both, the second by inherent birthright, I think.
Nha Trang was quite a ways from where I went, but his unit associations, maybe 1st Cav or 173rd Infantry should have something going on. Use the unit name in a yahoo search.
You can look at these to get an idea of general costs though I'm sure that the by unit organized trips offer better deals:

Thanks for the info. It'll probably be a year before he has enough vacation time saved. (He'll have to visit his mother in California first.) He was in the Air Force and Nha Trang wasn't the only base where he was stationed but the one he would like to see.
The links should give him a starting point.

Thanks for the link. Years ago he tried to track down a guy he served with. This was in the late 70s. He'd probably have more luck now with so much on the internet. He can't remember the unit he was with but that also should be easy to find out.
