Actor Robert Blake and his bodyguard were arrested tonight for the murder of Blake's wife last year. Maybe they can actually convict him.

nycyn- it's good to see you in another thread!!!! His story was so obviously fabricated that it was only a matter of time. He always was a little strange. -----Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue. It's time for Blake to be the statue, maybe it's time for you to be the pigeon.

Speaking of make-up.....I bet Nancy(no-brainer)Grace (Court TV) is just thrilled with the opportunity this will give her! She'll have to brush up on her ability to 'cry' for the victims, while still maintaining her perfect make-up. Her trial-outcome predictions are classic...make sure you don't miss that part!! (Don't worry, she'll repeat her predictions 100 times a day.) Rock on Nancy!!

Oh my! I did it. I made one of those little thingies. (Shame, plsmith isn't around to see the monster she helped make!) I just really liked this one. They should've named it "Talking Head". Have a robbed somebody? Please let me know and I'll return it promptly!
Re "Baretta". Why did this have to be the cool, cute guy? Hate it when that happens.

Why didn't he just plead quilty? He apparently said today that if he gets the death sentence, well he lived almost 70 years anyway. Very philosophical. He doesn't seem the type to cherish a TV spectacle and they have asked for no cameras.

.........Maybe he is hoping that he will be found not guilty?
Today, his lawyer said that two stuntmen who worked on the Baretta TV series claim Blake tried to hire them to kill his wife.
Exerpt ABC
"Defense attorney Harland Braun said one witness is Gary McLarty, the stunt coordinator who was involved in another high-profile Hollywood death when actor Vic Morrow and two child actors were killed during the 1982 filming of the movie The Twilight Zone. McLarty was in the helicopter that swooped over Morrow and the children during a simulated bombing scene, when an accident caused their deaths.
McClarty was called as a witness in the 1987 involuntary manslaughter trial of producer John Landis and four others, and Braun was one of the defense attorneys. Landis and his co-defendents were acquitted.
The other witness against Blake, Braun said, is stuntman Ronald "Duffy" Hambleton.
Both Hambleton and McLarty say Blake asked them to kill his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, Braun said. But the defense attorney said he and his investigators have been aware of the stuntmen's allegations for months and that they are skeptical of their stories at best."
