Hi,
I need to know the size of a full size bed. I have a king and a twin but want to replace the twin with a full size for my grandson. I don't know if I have room in his bedroom for one and needed to know the dimensions in length and width.
Anyone have one and willing to measure it for me? I would really appreciate it.
I know it may sound like a strange request, but I want to order online today or in the morning, so it can be delivered free, and I just don't have any idea how big one will be or if the corner of the bedroom can hold one.

lindajean,
We don't have one, and I did a little searching for a description of the various sizes but found only places that would sell any bed to me using the word 'full' for a size but without giving the actual dimensions. Places selling sheets or blankets didn't help either.
I mostly answered now to let you know that you aren't being completely ignored.

Right. So which is 'full' and not 'twin'?

Can't be. It's more likely 39" x 76", the size called 'single' must be the same as 'full', a larger (full) version of 'twin'.

Coincidentally, I just bought a mattress pad yesterday which has a label indicating all possible bed sizes with a green dot to show which size was in the package I bought.
The label (English followed by French):
Twin / Jumeau
Full / Double
Queen / Grand
King / Tres Grand

Well there's the confusion - I'd always called what is apparently a 'full' a 'double'. Maybe it's because I was a frog until my princess kissed me.

I will help but I need a seamstress to hold the other end of my measuring stick.

Yup. A twin is a single and a full is a double.
KRS was a frog. This is BIG news. Why isn't FOX news reporting on that? They report on everything else.

No Bunz. A twin is a Jumeau when you're a frog.

Thank you. I had searched everything including bed size, mattress size, etc. on Yahoo and Google and could not come up with anything other than the "full", "Twin" etc.
The full size will fit in the space I had, and I have placed my order.
I know that was a strange request, and I appreciate the help!
Hope you all had a great 4th of July!

I know the answer to this one. A full and a double are the same bed. When I was around 12, I asked my mom a question about this. She told me the size of bed bigger than a twin was a double. When I asked why it was called a double, she said it was made for two people to sleep in. Then I asked, in all innocence, " why is it called a full?". Well, when you put two people in it, its full.
Not my name on ebay.

and you have to watch it because they are taking old mattresses and reselling them recovered as new without telling people.
If you catch them doing this make sure everyone in your area knows who is doing this
