NATION TURNS BACK ON CALIFORNIA: WORLD SERIES FINALE DOWN 27%; PLUNGES PAST '01 LOWS
The rally monkey still failed to rally a national audience for Sunday's Game 7 of the World Series, overnight NIELSENs show.
The California-intensive series between the Anaheim Angels and San Francisco Giants appears to have left the rest of the country behind -- as it will likely become the lowest-rated in modern history!
FOX pulled a 19.7 rating/28 share from 8 pm ET to 11:30 pm for Game 7 in 55 markets -- down sharply from the 27 rating/38 share of 2001 World Series average.
NATION DIVIDED
The country's top market New York snubbed the Sunday outing, where the baseball finale was holding at a 21 share at 9:30 pm.
In the #4 market, Philadelphia, NBC' s LAW AND ORDER tied Game 7 during the 9 PM hour -- both pulling a 15 share.
Any and all action was on the coast: Los Angeles maxed out with a 65 share; San Francisco topped at 63% of all television tuned to the game.
