gravid	posted on September 16, 2003 05:11:11 AM new People now have a much different idea of what is a bare bones basic way of life. A car (nice) for each family member. You NEED a nice vacation each year. You HAVE to give expensive gifts at Christmas. You're too tired to cook two or three nights a week. Your school age kids MUST do sports and music. Your older kid that has no idea what she/he wants to do/be has to go to school even though they are not collage material. Cable/broadband/cell phones, etc are needed just like electric power or gas. When the crash they crash all the way to poverty.
