President Bush presides over the worst consumer comfort numbers since 1993...hmm....on the other hand, who cares how people THINK the economy is doing? What possible relevance could that have to how things really ARE? If the administration says it's better, I guess it must BE better, even though nobody is feeling it. These things take time to be felt. After all, it took what, several MONTHS to turn a record surplus into a multi-generational DEFICIT.
