If you could do it all again, what occupation would you choose?

My occupation I did not choose. It was in away, chosen for me. Like most young men from the south who could not afford college. I choose the Marines. After my 71/2 years in the Marines. I was hired by a top 5 fortune 500 company as a manager. 35 years later I retired, with a degree in Robotics (which I received at age 56).

Many of you at one time or another, have talked about one of the products, that was produced from one of my platforms. It gives me very good feeling, even at times when it is not a positive comment.

I would not change my past occupations.

Fred

Lighting Director for Aerosmith... great pay, good per diem, travel the world, work every other year or so or anytime in between that I wish and I like the music.

I'd do it exactly the same way. Homemaker.
No regrets for me.

I truly enjoyed raising our sons, being involved in all their activities and having the time and energy to do many things so that my husband wouldn't have to while he was working so hard to support us. Being at home also allowed me to enjoy doing the things that brought me personal satisfaction too.

Should have followed in my fathers foot steps & become an attorney. (Like 2 brothers in law, & 3 nephews).

Stayed a homemaker instead of falling into the trap the womens libbers made thinking I would be missing too much if I didn't make my mark on the world.

Went back to college when my baby was only 2 and graduated in 1978. Worked until 1989 and then became self employed and now work even harder.

But, what I wouldn't give to get back those precious lost years of my childrens childhood. And, the time I used to spend with my parents before I went to work. Then, I was too busy with work and family to see them very often before I lost them both.

stopwhining, Trudeau was never a hippie. It was his wife who was the flower child and she romped with the Stones.
