California is the third state to adopt the policy ( Nevada and New Mexico also allow the driver's licenses to non-citizens )

The first card has been rapidly circulating around the internet this week and the second card I've never seen.

The first card is a prime example of racist stereotypes. The second card is of someone I am patiently waiting from Prof to email the phone number of

Bear & 12,
Surely if a man works for you, you wouldn't insist he walk to work.

Don’t worry about the breeding program, you’re being paranoid.

Twelve - No matter what you may think, it is much harder to get an ID or DL in California than any other state I know of. You must wait a least three hours in line even if you have one of the ever elusive appointments, provide two forms of proof of identity, and then wait up to six weeks to actually recieve the ID in the mail.

I dread renewing mine.

I just visited the CA DMV two weeks ago. Took three weeks to get an appointment but once I walked in, I was out in 20 minutes. No ID needed, photo and thumbprint taken and new license in one week. Must be a record--just write them a check and they are satisfied.

Wendy - what area of California are you in? LA was hell and San Diego seems to be no better

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I'm near Sacramento. I had to go about three cities over to get the soonest appointment but I was AMAZED at the speed of the process once I got there. I will never step into a DMV without an appt. again.

I had a CA DL at one time Fenix... I don't remember a 3 hour wait... I do remember making an appointment...

What really sucked was when some a-hole stole my numbers off my plates and they charged me $8 to replace them.

The DMV closes at 5 PM and I use to go in at 5 minutes till 5 and then at 5 sharp a guard would look the doors as if it were a bank and let people out but never in. Also at 5 sharp the place would go through a dramatic transformation, from a morgue to a bee hive. You could almost swear you could hear the DMV workers humming the 'It's Miller Time' theme in unison. Faster than 'stuff' through a goose the customers would be processed and sent on their merry way.

Maybe prof - That's what the guys used to say in the machine shop - tan bien - when they meant it was a good job - sometimes sacastic like - (no matter how long it took) thay'd have said bueno for a good lunch or nice pants - but I'm no expert for idiom sometimes they lost me pretty bad.
The first one does have all the charm of a Little Black Sambo License for those who would DWB. I assumed it was on purpose. I can hope....
