HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) - More than 70 percent of Connecticut voters believe Gov. John G. Rowland can no longer govern effectively amid a burgeoning corruption investigation, a poll released Thursday found.
Sixty-seven percent said the three-term Republican governor should step down, the Quinnipiac University poll found. The response is essentially unchanged from a Quinnipiac poll released Jan. 21.
Rowland is under federal investigation for accepting improvements on his summer cottage from employees and state contractors. He has denied providing any favors in return.
Rowland's office this week received a federal subpoena seeking Rowland's phone records, appointment schedules and other documents.

Now, now, Neroter... I know you're upset cuz you didn't get a prize with your box of Twinkles, but my corporate cereal sponsors and I have come up with something really cool that we feel will remedy your hurt feelings and prevent you from dragging us into court for emotional suffering.
Behold! Your very own I.D. kit, customizable to your specifications and guaranteed to remind you that you are what you eat and that, no matter where you go, you'll always be with us, and we with you, if ever you should leave and we were slow to catch you up, which isn't likely, given that we know everything, and even if we don't, we'd never admit it. (Now THAT's classic Horshack for ye! )
