With the Mayor and cronies sanctioning illegal actvities, the Police Force should not be taking any action against any illegal activity now commited in that city. To arrest anyone and not having arrested people associated with the illegal sham marriages is hypocrisy at its finest.
Gov Arnold does need to take swift and drastic action against that city and let them understand that the people of Claifornia have spoken out on this issue.

Bush prefers our pretty boy to his pretty boy

OTTAWA -- This is the tale of the two Scotts -- one American, the other Canadian. One is dark-haired, the other blond. Both are 35 and both work for the most powerful men in their respective countries.
Scott McClellan is the press secretary to U.S. President George W. Bush; Scott Reid is the senior strategist to Prime Minister Paul Martin.
But, according to Mr. Bush, Mr. Martin has the prettier Scott.
Indeed. Welcome to a new era of "pretty face" Canada-U.S. relations.
This is what happened:
Mr. Bush met Mr. Reid earlier this week at the summit in Monterrey, Mexico, just after the President's breakfast with Mr. Martin.
Mr. Reid was not initially in the hotel room where the two leaders and their closest advisers met, but was called in to brief the Prime Minister at the end as the group waited for the media.
Mr. Bush wandered over during Mr. Reid's chat with the Prime Minister. Mr. Reid introduced himself and shook hands with Mr. Bush.
"Well, what do you do for this guy?" the President asked as he pointed to the Prime Minister.
"Well, you know, sir, I can't really say," Mr. Reid said. "It's not that I don't want to. It's just that, you know, I don't really know from day to day."
This is true. Mr. Reid handles a number of files and performs a number of different duties, depending on the issue and the day.
The President chuckled. "Well, you got a pretty face," he told the surprised Mr. Reid. He wasn't done. "You got a pretty face," he said again. "You're a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott anyway."
This is true. His Scott has a receding hairline and is on the chubby side, while Mr. Martin's Scott has a full head of hair and is quite fit.
For the first time in his life, Mr. Reid had no reply. "I didn't know what to say," said Mr. Reid, noting later that he wished that Mr. Bush had referred to him as a "rugged-looking young man or something.
"But I'll take what I can, I guess," he joked. "When a Texas Republican says you've got a pretty face, then I guess there is just no way around it."

Vice president backs Bush over gay marriage
he likes it
Despite his earlier public comments, US Vice President Dick Cheney said in an interview on Friday that he would support a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage if President George W Bush backs it.
The vice president told the Denver Post that the recent ruling from the Massachusetts high court and some new state laws regarding same-sex unions have forced the Bush administration to consider supporting the amendment.
"At this stage, obviously, the president is going to have to make a decision in terms of what administration policy is on this particular provision, and I will support whatever decision he makes," Cheney said.
Cheney had argued during the 2000 presidential campaign that the federal government should not dictate legal recognition of same-sex couples.
"That matter is regulated by the states," he said during a vice presidential debate with Sen. Joe Lieberman. "I think different states are likely to come to different conclusions, and that's appropriate. I don't think there should necessarily be a federal policy."
The vice president's latest comments struck some GLBT citizens as unsupportive of his lesbian daughter, Mary, who has been an advisor on his staff.
"What an incredibly hurtful thing to do to his daughter," Phil Wade, a parishioner at Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, told the Post. "I'm disappointed, but not surprised. It is very fitting that he follows the line of the party of exclusion."
A different reaction came from Mark Mead, spokesman for the Log Cabin Republicans, the national gay GOP group that has mobilised against the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA).
"It's no surprise that the vice president is supporting the president," he told the Gay.com/PlanetOut.com Network. "That's what vice presidents do."
Last month, President Bush stopped short of endorsing the FMA. In an interview with ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer, he said he would support the measure "if necessary" to protect the "sanctity" of marriage.
"Since the president hasn't made a decision," Mead said, "I would counsel the vice president to give (Bush) advice in keeping with what he said back in 2000."
The FMA legislation was introduced in the House last May, and a Senate version launched in November

What a novel idea! Another gay thread from Twelve.
Since he can't see my post either, personally, I think Twelve's a flaming homo himself. He was probably gang raped while serving time in jail for exposing himself. I bet he's about 5 feet tall and weighs 120 lbs... that's with the (toy) gun and holster set. He can't find a girlfriend so his thoughts have been directed at others guys as a last resort. This brings up memories of his days in jail and scares him to death, but...

Twelve, don't turn your back on them....
Thought for the day: When heterosexuals get married, they exchange wedding vows. So, I guess when gays get married, they exchange wedding bowels.
"An old, long-whiskered man once said to Teddy Roosevelt: 'I am a Democrat, my father was a Democrat, my grandfather was a Democrat.' Roosevelt then said: 'Then if your father had been a horse thief and your grandfather had been a horse thief, you would be a horse thief?'" --Will Rogers
