Something I saw a report on this evening:
Up to 6200 troops have been dismissed under the dont ask dont tell policy. But at the same time some 5600 or more reservationist's etc., have been called back in. Many to fill the positions of the outed soliders, saliors, marines.
I dont think this makes very good sense. The active duty solider would be more prepared in readiness. Wouldn't you think?

Okay, here's a Link Linda. Its cbsnews.com, but I can only find a video clip not the full story.
Supposedly it surrounded a top linguist (who the intelligence commmunity are always saying they are in short supply of?)They are all going to be stretched so short - with the olympics and everything else going on!

Soliders? Saliors?
I think our military is better off without them. Especially the soliders. I served with 2 liquidors and they were bad enough.
Saliors are tolerable but multilingual saliors would no doubt be disruptive.

logansdad....I for one, would sure like to know where you got that little piece of above information. Other than two democrats calling for it, I've never read that. And besides, the military doesn't have the authority to start the draft. Only our Congress would.

I think it's becoming more and more clear why some are voting for kerry.

Homosexuals know when they sign up that they are not allowed in the military... The brave men and women they serve with do not want them in thier units and it does cause units to not be as cohesive as they should be.
Maybe these are just homosexuals using an easy out because they are no longer willing to do the service they signed up for... fortunately most will not receive an honorable discharge and that will affect them for some time to come...
