Sovereignty I'll make this number one. We all know that John Kerry changes positions to make the maximum appeal to voters at any particular point in time. When Kerry was NOT trying to appeal to voters he said that U.S. troops should not be deployed overseas without the "permission" of the United Nations. Just how much power would Kerry give the UN over our decisions on national defense? How much would Kerry give up to the European Union in order to gain the "popularity" he so desires over there.

Terrorism: You may believe differently, but I believe that the Islamic terrorists would prefer Kerry in office. I think that they see him as weaker than George Bush. Well, so do I.

Consistency: John Kerry hammers home the fact that he would have formed an international coalition to dispose of Saddam. Well, when George Bush 41 formed just such a coalition to get Saddam out of Kuwait, Kerry voted "no." When George Bush 43 formed a somewhat smaller coalition to get Saddam out of Iraq, Kerry voted "yes." Someone make sense out of this for me please.

Social Security: Face it, the system is a disaster. Kerry wants to continue the present course. Bush has this wild-eyed idea that your money should be placed into an account with your name on it ... and account that you can exercise some control over. 'Nuff said.

Socialized Medicine: OK, it's probably inevitable, given the cowardice of the American people ... but I want to stall it off as long as possible. Kerry's medical care spending plans total over one trillion dollars over the next ten years. We can't afford it without even more confiscatory taxes.

Higher taxes: Kerry has pledged to raise taxes on "the rich." The problem here is that the rich folks that Kerry is talking about, families with incomes higher than $200,000 a year, are the very people who own Americas small business jobs machine. Increased taxes on these people are jobs killers.

More government: Kerry is a typical Democrat. He believes America is great because of government, and the way to make America even greater is to expand that government. OK, so Bush isn't much better in this regard, but I would rather give Bush a second term to correct the error of his ways than to give Kerry a fresh start for eight years to make the burden of big-government even greater.

His record: Kerry's entire presidential campaign is based on four short months in Vietnam. Four months in Vietnam, 20 years in the United States Senate. What did he accomplish in those 20 years? Answer? Nothing. And that's the record he's running on?

There's more ... much more .... but I have to get on to some other subjects.

Oh boy, are you going to hear it! However, not from me. I'm off. Tomorrow, John Kerry is opening an office near my home and I'll be volunteering. Yes, you heard me right: I'LL BE VOLUNTEERING! Volunteering to help get the lying SOB we currently have in office - OUT!

BTW - I still also volunteer for Dennis who is running for another term in Congress.

We all know that John Kerry changes positions

Just as much as Bush flip flops on everything.

While I don't think the United States needs to get the permission of the UN before it does anything. I do feel the US needs to have support of it allies before rushing into things. Bush SR could have taken out Sadaam during the first Gulf War but chose not because this was not what the UN had authorized. Bush Junior on the other ignored the UN when he decided to rush into war with Iraq.
I don't think we need a president that rushes into things without having thoroughly planned.

Higher taxes: Kerry has pledged to raise taxes on "the rich." The problem here is that the rich folks that Kerry is talking about, families with incomes higher than $200,000 a year, are the very people who own Americas small business jobs machine. Increased taxes on these people are jobs killers.

If it wasn't for Bush spending like there is no tomorrow, we would not have such a huge deficit that needs to be payed off. Bush has already shown his tax cuts have not worked and stimulated the economy liked he planned. It will only be a matter of time before he repeals his tax cuts.

His record: Kerry's entire presidential campaign is based on four short months in Vietnam. Four months in Vietnam, 20 years in the United States Senate. What did he accomplish in those 20 years? Answer? Nothing. And that's the record he's running on?

First, military service means nothing to most Republicans here so what is your point. Second, what has Bush accomplished in his four years in office??

I bet you did not worry about military experience when Clinton was running against a real war hero (Bush 41). Kerry has the most liberal voting record in the senate, that is what we should look at & not campaign promises. Can you give me one good reason he is the best Democrap for the job

logansdad - It will only be a matter of time before he repeals his tax cuts.

He won't EVER be repealing his tax cuts....our Congress might...but he's still working to get them made permanent.

You so quickly overlook the complete change that took place under his administration with the Home Land Security dept....with the Patriot Act...with NCLB...with the Medicare bill...with adding funding for our vets....with fighting two wars against the terrorists. Getting many countries to cooperate together in the war on terrorism. With giving education even more money. And many, many more programs he's either given additional funds to or started new.
edited to add - His tax cuts...that benefited all American's....mostly families.

Do you honestly think he will say he will raise taxes before an election. Bush Sr. promised no new taxes while campaigning and then ended up raising them once he was in office.

This will work well since most cars have day time running lights now.

Besides it seem as if the Bush supporters will not be making any left hand turns while driving - just driving around in circles.

No, and he's NOT going to raise them AFTER he wins the election either. Does the word 'permanent' mean anything to you? He's trying to get most of his tax cuts made permanent. PLUS...he's NOT promising $735 billion of new programs either.

Bush Sr. promised no new taxes while campaigning and then ended up raising them once he was in office.

Yes...and this is a BIG hang up I've noticed you have in several of your posts. You don't seem to 'get' that he is not his father. He is his own individual, his own man, and has done some things much differently than his father would have done/did.

You are not your father either....you are not responsible for your father's actions - so your constant comparisons between the two really doesn't hold water.

How did working WITH the UN become being unable to do anything without the UN's permission ?
