How To Wash The Cat

1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water.

3. Obtain the cat and carry him to the bathroom.

4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape). CAUTION: Do not get any part of your body too close to the edge, as his paws will be reaching out for anything he can find.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power wash and rinse" which I have found to be quite effective.

6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.

Speaking of toilets you might be able to wash the cat in the new $5000.00 toilet. Saw it on axcess hollywood last night. Will Smith has one. It has a box on the back just above where the seat raises up. There is no lid. There you can adjust the seat heat, water heat and what ever else this does. It is on the order of a bidae (spelling, that is the french toilet that squirts water). But instead of coming from the bottom of the toilet it comes out through the back where it washes and cleans and I think maybe a dryer is there. No toilet paper needed.

So if you should get one of those it will be easier to wash the cat.

are you referring to a kitten or a grown cat??
first it would be hard to put a grown cat in the toilet.
second, you can clean the toilet,i still wont trust how clean it is.
The bacteria from feces and urine may still be in the water and the surface.
cats are clean, why do you want to clean them??
put yourself in the toilet and see how you like it!!

I have had a few cats that I could give a bath to. One I could even take in the shower. The last cat I gave a bath to,had been covered with mud and had an injured paw. Had to do that one in the bath tub,I didn't fight me though. I guess it was miserable enough and didn't care. Had to wash the poor thing three times to get the mud off.

yellowstone- That is just too funny!!!

The only time I ever gave a cat a bath was when I brought "Lovey" home from the shelter. What a mistake! My arms looked like I put my hand in a garbage disposal lined with barbed-wire and razor blades!

I think I saw that $5000 toilet on "Xcess Hollywood" as well. (Pun intended.)
