I'm a Republican,I'm sure you're all aware of that.

I Vote straight Republican.

But:
I always accept the Elected Officials.
There's nothing anyone can do to change the outcome.
I never badmouth them unless they are downright criminal!
And by downright criminal I mean, if I did what they did would it land me in Jail!
There have been a few!!
I accept the outcome of every election and hope Just maybe they have something to good to offer.

Campaign Promises mean nothing, not a Damn one will do what they say they will!

Republican or Democrat!

Here's why I started this thread:

I really think Kerry is just a sacrificial lamb.
Seems a lot of people think he's the answer to all our problems, don't think so!

The Democrats that brought him into the running, know he has not a thing to offer except High society Funding!
Party Hearty!

They needed someone in the running on the Democratic Ticket.

But I don't think they want a winner!
Someone who--if they happened to win would accomplish nothing--Disposable!

I don't think they want someone who if happened to get elected will do a good Job!

Why Do I Say This?

Hillary Clinton!

I think The Whole Country Expects her to run in 2008!

Let me say this:

"I REALLY have nothing against A Woman President! As a matter of fact--I was hoping Christy Whitman would have run some day, she did a Great job here in Jersey, and I would have voted for her.

Now I would Hate to see the Clinton's back in the White House,And even though I have not a Damn thing against a woman for president."

I really don't think with the world in the turmoil that it is,That this is a good time for a Woman President.
Because the U.S. seems to be the only Country that has any RESPECT for women!
And the World leaders she would deal with would have no Respect for Women Period!

But back to the subject at hand:

If the Democrats are planning to bring her in, in 2008.
Would they want her running against Bush he would be on his way out, no problem.
Against the Republican hopeful an unknown at this time.
More than likely no problem.
But--:
If Kerry should happen to get elected She would be up against him.
Would they want her to run against a strong power in her own Party?
No: They'd want her running against a disposable party member!

Do You think they would at this point 2004
they would deliberately throw a monkey wrench in their plans for the future of their party?
I Think Not Do You?

I think: The Democrats & Hillary have plans for her to run in 2008.
So: Why would they want a Strong Opposition?

I'd like to see some honest opinions on this not a lot of: Copy & Pasted articles.

I thought for a while that Kerry was just a ruse, put up by the Democrats so Hillary could run in '08. Now I'm not so sure...either they knew he stood the best chance of winning and decided to run him, or he's surprised them. Either way, it doesn't look good for Hillary next time around. For me, getting rid of Bush, and most importantly his handlers, is far more important than running Hillary in '08.

I did not copy or paste any of the words in the above paragraph.

By the way, I have never voted a straight ticket in my life. I registered as a Democrat in the last election as a personal statement of my distaste for the direction the Republican party has taken, but I vote for, and against people, not parties. My vote in the next election will be as much or more against Bush as it is for Kerry.

Good summary, Profe!

Truthfully, I don't think Hillary has a snowball's chance in hell of winning in 08....Military service is essential now and She has even less than Bush..ZERO, ZIP, NADA! Since there has been a discussion of Kerry's haircut I should point out that Hillary's haircut is ok for her age but she's losing her looks. I think that it would help if she could ALWAYS wear pants to hide those big fat legs but then you would have the rear ACCENTUATED!

What can you do?

Ed. to capitalize a few words...for emphasis.

..LOL...fat legs...AKA.. Cankels..

I'd like to see the old girl run in 2008 but I agree.. she wouldn't have a chance... why?
The women voters would not vote for her, The majority of women in the US don't have enough confidence in their own gender, until they can shake off the old stereotypes, it will never happen.. women are their own worst enemies... just my opinion..I can feel the backlash already.. LOL
Present company excluded of course.. Helen, Linda,Crowfarm,Neroter,Cheryl, bunni,NTS,Libra, etc..I know all of you have plenty of confidence.. as plainly noted in your posts!

I was listening to a radio program the other day and this is what was said.

It's not like the democrats like Kerry it is because they hate Bush so much.

They are liberals and they are Bush haters and would take any candidate the democrats put up. Think about it.

I am a republican, I don't vote a straight ticket. I look at the candidate and decide but I will tell you I won't vote for Kerry. He is to iffy. He can't handle a Senate Seat how is he going to run the Presidency. He is on the Intelligence committee but can't take time out to be briefed. What's with that. He preaches National Security but can't make the meetings. When asked he said he will be briefed later. Later might be to late. He is running on his service in Vietnam but that is iffy also. To many ifs in my book.

OK,here goes:
OP states,"Because the U.S. seems to be the only Country that has any RESPECT for women!
And the World leaders she would deal with would have no Respect for Women Period!"

Excuse me! Women are shown disrespect in the US on a daily basis! They are paid less than men, promoted less than men, are murdered and beaten by men, are treated like slabs of meat, are judged on their looks, discriminated against in schools, and are judged harshly if they dare to have an opinion, are assertive, rich, or don't look like fashion models..

(Helen, Drdolittle, shame on you! But thanks for proving my point on how "respected" women are in this country))

MANY OTHER countries have had RESPECTED women leaders...Thatcher, Ghandi to name just two. I consider this as being FAR more ADVANCED than the U.S.

Drdolittle, it has nothing to do with confidence and everything to do with sexual stereotyping and jealousy!

Yellowstones comment is SO typical of a scared little man who's bowels loosen at the mere thought of such an intelligent powerful woman as Senator Clinton.

And Libra's "he can't handle a Senate Seat how is he going to run the Presidency. He is on the Intelligence committee but can't take time out to be briefed. What's with that. He preaches National Security but can't make the meetings. When asked he said he will be briefed later. Later might be to late. He is running on his service in Vietnam but that is iffy also. To many ifs in my book."

Well, Edith, Bush spent 42% of the 6 months before 9/11 on VACATION....even his own people admit he showed NO interest in the PDBs which talked about potential terrorist attacks nor showed interest inmuch of anything else!.

Kerry served in combat, there is NO question of that no matter how the Republicans want to slander our vets!

Bush DID NOT see COMBAT. He CHOSE to stay here, HE DID NOT GO TO Vietnam AT ALL! HE was a COWARD!

It is COMMON KNOWLEDGE that Chiefs-of-Staff attend many meetings for their Senators, not just Kerry but ALL Senators.

Where was Bush's suckpuppy Norm Coleman when he should've been in Washington ? Taking potshots at the Democrats during their convention from a specially set up "slander Room", something unprecedented in the history of conventions!.

Thanks, Drdolittle for recognizing my message as an attempted humorous parody of the neocon viewpoint with an emphasis on military service and appearance. Personally, I don't think that gender or military service or appearance should be a factor in the analysis of a good presidential candidate but so many still do. I believe that Kerry will win this election and if not, we are in serious trouble - not because of Bush alone but all the hawkish and I believe fascist administration that is a part of the Republican party now.

Dam, I wish I could be more subtle.

kerry will not win the election, I have faith that the country will not put a traitor in the White House, the GOP convention is coming up next and the President will gain a few points in the polls as is often the case after the convention.

We don't need to change horses right now, and especially we don't need someone who has shown in the past they will not stand by the words they speak and "change their minds" for no apparent reason.

Kerry will drive this country into ruin because the investors will not/do not trust him.

The people of this country are mad as hell and they are not going to take it any more. This administration will go down in history as a deliberately deceptive administration with a failed and mismanaged economy and with a failed foreign policy. Bush has lost the high esteem and leadership that the U.S. formerly held throughout the world because of an unprecedented emphasis on imperialistic power...not terrorism or it's causes. This hawkish administration, more fascist than democratic has only managed to increase the threat of terrorism throughout the world and decrease the safety in our country. Our country is less safe now and no better prepared for an attack than before 9/11.

It's frightening to imagine a terrorist attack on our country when a storm related crisis in Florida is so difficult for FEMA.

The last time Bush spoke protractedly about bin Laden was at a March 2003 news conference. Bush was asked then by Kelly Wallace of CNN why he so rarely mentioned bin Laden, and whether bin Laden was, in fact, dead or alive...

Bush's answer: "So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you ... I truly am not that concerned about him."

There is no doubt in my mind John Kerry is going to win. I consider myself a "bob casey" democrat. I live in central PA which is conservative city, and I have never seen so many people complain about a president except in 1992. I have relatives in Ohio, and they all say the same thing. My honest prediction is Kerry will win all the gore states plus ohio, west virginia, and new hampshire. I expect florida to go republican. When I walk in the mall and see republicans for kerry badges something tells me he will win.

The reason women aren't respected is because women don't respect themselves.

In this round table there is one certain poster that addresses the women they don't like names. When I address someone I use their user ID. If they think the name calling is cute it isn't. There are some in here that respect but do not agree with the woment posters and that is good. Everyone deserves respect whether democrat or republican. Just think about this the next time you post and the next time you call posters names.

I don't believe we will see a woman president here in the US for a very long time.

We will see our First Black President before we see a Woman President.

Sorry, but I believe the female gender is still regarded as a lower/second class citizen here in this great country of ours.

Yes, Crowfarm I agree that it is a case of
stereotyping.. but I wouldn't place the blame entirely on the Males.. until Women start to think as Equals and
"really believe it" .. nothing will change.

We are a nation who have put our women on pedestals, made sexual objects of them, worship women for their beauty, and sexuality.. but not for their intelligence, strength, or achievements.

There is still a generation of women who haven't quite decided if they want to stand behind their man or step up and walk beside him.. Doc

Helen your subtleness carries the strength of a crowbar.. LOL..

Dr.Do: We will see our First Black President before we see a Woman President

I am torn over this statement. This could go either way. I was surprised years ago when he had a female VP candidate on the ticket and we haven't had one sense. Have he had a black candidate for Pres or VP?? I guess it all depends on the candidates.

I couldn't agree with you more with the above statements. Just like Cosby spoke his mind about the "problems" in the black community, I feel some prominent woman needs to step up to the plate and do the same thing for women what Cosby did for the Blacks..

Twelve, women are pretty much better at almost everything than men with the exception of maybe mathematics and even there much leeway has been gained for those who want to pursue that ambition. Men who are smart intuitively know this from the onset, anyway. But some have this terribly fragile ego thing going on, while on the other hand some women wont be satisfied until they morf a fishing rod like apparatus from their bodies and are able to pee standing up.
