I hope you read the thread on Kerry on religion it will give you a great awakening to find out there are democrats that believe in God also. Imagine that.

That's his business if he, (Kerry) believes in god. There is nothing that I can do about that. There is nothing wrong with that. I will bet he won't be owing anything to the christian right.

Left liberal edition, of the TV guide.

I hope you don't pay to get those channels!

The tooth fairy? I used to. But then as I grew older, I knew this was just a hoax to cause me to believe in something. Just like the easter bunny and Santa Claus. After a period of time, a person has to question these things. Some with weaker minds don't.

I like the scientific approach to things.

Then why don't you approach my questions with a scientifically? I look foreword to your answers.

And if I had my choice, comparing what the TV listings are today as compared to what is up above, at least I would not have to worry about seeing porn (so called soft), hearing foul language or seeing the liberal networks promote their bias agenda.

In Christ,
Rick

Romans 8:16

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I do not accept His claim to be God." That is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic....or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

ChristianCoffee, just give it up.

Yeager has posted so many anti-religious threads in the past week, he's either;

A) A completely obsessed nutcase
B) Trolling for attention

Either way, he's not impressing anyone with his so-called "arguments". You cannot debate him, you cannot shut him up, you cannot win in this debate. You certainly cannot convert him.

Just let it go.

quatermass? What does that say about yourself, admitting that you associate with (or at least take the time to read the rantings of) idiots?

yeager: Although I'm religious, I don't disagree with most of your opinions about organized religion. But I have to say, it sure looks to me like you're just trolling for a fight, and not interested in discussion. The number, and increasingly wierd tone of your posts is making you look pretty bizarre, pretty obsessed.

As you say, it's your right to express yourself, so go ahead on...I doubt you're going to find many who are interested in you posts other than those who want to call you names. Maybe that's what you're looking for.

prof,

Thanks for your input. Really, I am not trolling for a fight. I usually don't respond to any body's negative remarks towards me. They can make them all they like. There is nothing that anyone here can do about another's negative remarks. So, they can let them rip all they want.

I will be the very first to admit that my religious threads have a negative tone to them. That is the very point that I am trying to make when posting them. I think that I have brought light to the fact that the catholic church is the biggest dealer in sex in this country. The continual news reports of their "holy" priest raping young boys has got to be one of the most sick things that has ever happened in the history of American society. I am sure that NOBODY reading this would ever stand by and watch this happen. Most people would either try to stop it if they saw it happen, or at the least, call the police.

Can you imagine what happens to a woman when she is raped on the street, or kidnapped and raped. The horrible emotional pain that she goes through. Now, think of the young boy who might be 8-12 years old and who is raped by a member of the church that he was supposed to trust and be safe with. His emotional health is RUINED. In some cases, for many years, and in some cases for his entire life.

How does the church respond? By moving the predators to another location so they can do it again. So if they are moved out of one city and to another city, they have a clean crop of boys to victimize. How sickening is that? This organization that is suppose to have the cleanest reputation in society, has one of the most ROTTEN. All of this of course at the taxpayer's expense. Since the church pays no taxes, somebody else has to make up the difference.

There is so much hypocrisy in the church, it's really bizarre that so call clear thinking people would even follow it.

The classic line in these discussions is from CC when he said that logan and he would not "end up in the same place when they die".

He also said the the pedophile priest and logan are "in two different categories" What a laugh. It just goes to show you that anyone can believe that anything is true when it comes to religion.

parklane says,

Sam Kinnison made fun of God.

He was a grossly overweight alcoholic who was hit head on by a teen aged drunk driver. This could happen to anyone. It happens every day to all kinds of innocent people, regardless what a person thinks of religion.

Here's an example......

On September 30, 1990, my husband, David Caldwell, and four of our children attended a Christian concert with others from our church where David served as pastor. I stayed at home with our two youngest children, Kezia, who was two, and Ezekiel who was just nine days old. Little did I know as they left that night that my life was going to be changed forever because of the irresponsibility of a drunk driver. As my family was returning home from the concert, a drunk driver hit their car head-on. David and eight-year-old Phoebe died at the crash.

Sad but true.
