In an effort to reduce global warming and air pollution, California is making an effort to reduce tailpipe exhausts... adding to the cost of new cars. Now automakers have threatened to sue California on grounds that the law is a subterfuge for regulating fuel economy...LoL.

Does anyone doubt that on the day that we pump the last drop of oil that the auto makers will announce "we just discovered how to run cars on water and cow manure a few months ago. We have perfected this and already developed the engines. They'll be on sale next month."

"California is making an effort to reduce tailpipe exhausts."
More BS. Extensive studies at the U of Arizona show that a ridiculously small amount of older vehicles produce a ridiculously major portion of the vehicle pollution. Yet legislators in an attempt to pander to people who, charitably, are not too bright, continue to spend billions of tax dollars on draconian testing programs, regulations and fat contracts.
Gee, squirrel...I would like to read about those extensive studies at the University of Arizona. Do you have a link to those studies or to news about the studies?
