Breaking news from the CBSNews political desk. 2:00 EDT
Senator John Kerry has declaired himself the winner of the 1st of 3 debates with President Bush. When asked how he deternined he won, Senator Kerry responded "President Bush was unable to respond to any of the points I made. He had ample time given allotted time period". "Further more I answered ALL questions and points he poised with time to spare and have one more question for President Bush". "Why didn't you express an opinion to any of the presented debate topics?"
At this point Senator Kerry was presented a message by one of his debate team staffers.
Senator Kerry then continues now reading from the just presented message. "President Bush's motorcade has left the airport and will be here in approximately 30 minutes in time for the debate".
An astounded Senator Kerry angrly spins around to look at Dan Rather who has a sheepish grimace plastered on his face. Kerry then stated, "Dan the documents you gave me indicated President Bush was a no-show for tonights debate". Dam you now I'm really going to have to take a stand on something rather that changing my mind before I change my mind again. "Do you really expect me to win this debate if President Bush shows up, you know he can rip me a new ahole with all the flip flopping I have been doing".
Teresa, Teresa, come here. Can't you do something, or buy someone off, I can't really win this debate against President Bush when he's here in person.

You left out the part where Teresa told Dan Rather that he should just run around naked, to shove it, called him a scum bag and then began to sing the Mozambique National Anthem.

Can't you do something, or buy someone off....or donate funds to those groups that support my presidency since you can't give me any more directly yourself[/i]. Oh..that's right you've already done that. Well...DO IT AGAIN!!!
But John, I've already told everyone who doesn't agree with your health care plan proposal they're 'idiots'. Isn't that enough?

Come on people... Admit it.... Kerry kicked W's @ss. He nailed him several times and made his points well. He even clarified the so called flip flops.
Look for Kerry to get a huge bump from this.
Bush looked like Kermit the frog. He repeated about 5 major themes over and over again like he could not remember anything else.
I think the republican strategy of "We're gonna make Kerry look like a flip flopper" is on it's last legs.
Kerry had confidence, he spoke with conviction, presented himself very well, and was the clear victor in this debate.

Strange.... where are the gloaters? Come on guys, even Fox News commentators stated that Kerry prevailed. He was strong, presise, made definative statements and unlike Bush managed to avoid
1) Wavering between looking bored and angry during his opponents responses.
2) Sounding like a broken record.

America saw John Kerry challenge the Bush record of failure this evening. John Kerry left no doubt as to his qualification to be the next president. Bush's endless harping that it a tough job does not excuse four years of a failed presidency.

Bush says........
Steadfast, core values, stay on course. Well that does little for the 1,058 families that have buried their loved ones. Kerry clearly pointed out that Bush has no real plan for an exit strategy in Iraq.
In case the right wingers here don't know, both ABC and CBS news indicate that KERRY was the winner of the debate.
Bush looked like a young child lost at the mall.
Bigots are miserable people. Prevent Bigotry through Education.
The CNN/Gallup poll shows Kerry winning by 53% to 37%, the CBS poll shows Kerry won 44% to 26%, and the ABC poll shows Kerry winning by 45%-36%... all substantial margins of victory. The Gallup poll was weighted towards "likely voters" and had a higher percentage of Republicans to Democrats as a result, so that's really saying something.
Now, expect the SCLM (So Called Liberal Media) to spin it another way. siiigh...
If anyone missed the debate and you want to see Bush "grimacing, furrowing his brow, almost rolling his eyes and at the very beginning looking snippy and peevish" you can watch the debate here

Even Linda should be relieved about her major concern... Kerry's skin looked nice (not too orange) and he was sweat free.

Most importantly Kerry laid out a realistic plan for Iraq, North Korea and Iran, and he stated two things just as important and something everyone but Bush believes:
1. The Iraq invaision was a mistake and Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.
2. As commander-in-chief Kerry will go after the 9-11 terrorists and kill them.
Bush mentioned that he brought the Pakistani nuclear scientist to "justice" that was helping North Korea. Yeah right-- this is the guy Mushariff gave a full pardon to.

LOL yep this fingernails did look good. Here the President spent the day with the Florida hurricane victims and kerry's off getting a manicure.
------------
Here's a 'gloater'...ME.
I thought President Bush did a good job of point out how kerry waffles all the time. I thought President Bush corrected 3-4 errors in things kerry said. I wish President Bush had hit kerry harder on this non-support for our troops with the $87 Billion dollars kerry and edwards voted against....he let him off WAY too easy on that issue.
I loved how President Bush used kerry's own 1971 words against him...expecially after kerry just finished stating he'd get more allies to join in the war. "If you don't believe in the war...believe it's the wrong war at the wrong time in the wrong place....even though you said saddam needed to be removed...even though you voted to use force if he didn't comply with the last UN resolution...and even though you've said you'll remove the troops within your first term, within one year, and then within six months...."How do you ask a man to be the last to die for a mistake?"" Saying it was a wrong war [etc] is SURE to get more allies to join in with you. What's your message going to be? Join us in Iraq for a grand diversion?
VERY good, President Bush. High five!!!
I also think the President was way to soft on, although he did to some extent, pointing out ALL kerry's waffling...different positions. But he did make a point that kerry has NO clear position...he did make mention of kerry's flip-flopping on his preemption statements...he did point out, for the benefit of those here who think saddam presented NO threat....that kerry agreed saddam did. President Bush pointed out how kerry disregards/disrespects our 25,000 allies fighting in Iraq with us.
Kerry also denied calling President Bush a liar. But he, himself, lied about that. kerry's on record doing so. Even the moderator, Leher put his question as 'you've said repeatedly that President Bush lied and has misled us.'
So...while I could go on... to sum it up I don't think kerry closed his large credibility gap he's created...nor did he give a clear vision for what exactly he'd do...that hasn't already been done.
While at the same time I found President Bush pretty darn solid, his statements were still consistant and steadfast on why we did what we did..that it was the right thing to do...and that he's not changing his policies according to which way the policical wind is blowing.
But....like I said kerry's nails DID look pretty darn good.
[again - so vain] But teresa was in a beautiful white outfit [out of season after Labor Day weekend ]...while Laura Bush wore off white - the more appropriate color for fall.

Yea, let's see...kerry says : [after the debate] Kerry was asked if soldiers are dying in Iraq - for a mistake....kerry said NO. Again not clear on was Iraq a mistake or wasn't it. If it was then I'd think he'd feel our soldiers were dying for a mistake.
But my favorite kerry statement is still:
"We should not have gone to war knowing [b]what we know now[b]." Now you've got to admit THAT's a beaut. Even late night talk show hosts are laughing about that one. Right...next time let's be sure we know before going to war what the outcome will be so we can decide whether it's necessary to do so or not? LOL LOL
Oh linda, Kerry doesn't care about the hurricane victims because he got a manicure!
But you most STUPID meaningless statement:
""[again - so vain] But teresa was in a beautiful white outfit [out of season after Labor Day weekend ]...while Laura Bush wore off white - the more appropriate color for fall. ""
LINDA "out of season after labor day" HA !
Since when have YOU ever had enough class or fashion sense to worry about "after Labor Day" colors????
HaHa And Laura Bush is SO much better than Theresa because SHE WORE A SHADE darker.
You pathetic grasping loser!
Geez! LINDA LOOK in a mirror READ the crap you write !
We ALL know women like Theresa are so far above you they make you want to gag but do YOU HAVE to keep reminding us ????

Bush got his ass kicked period........and this was supposed to be his major issue. I had a debate party last evening and everyone was just stunned by his behavior. When I saw Bill Kristol say kerry did a better job on fox last night..........I knew bush was in trouble.

Because Bush can't misrepresent what Kerry did when Kerry is right there to answer the lie.
Anyone with a lick of sense knows exactly what Kerry means when he says that the Iraq invaision was a mistake, but that our soldiers are not dying for a mistake.
No matter how stupid out present commander-in-chief is, following lawful orders into harms way is not dishonorable nor a mistake. It is not dishonorable nor a lack of bravery to have regrets or to soldier on when the strategy is wrong and the war is a mistake.
Kerry knows this first hand, because unlike Bush and Cheney, Kerry went into harms way as a soldier in another war that was a mistake.
However, I am sure their are simple-minded people out there who can not figure this out.
KERRY- GET OUT OF IRAQ ASAP GO AFTER AND KILL THE 9-11 TERRORISTS

blairwitch - I too watched Bill Kristol and didn't take what he stated the same way you did, obviously.

reamond - I don't agree...it's because he basically said it at least four times...kerry continues to waffle on his positions....the $87 B is but one of them.
