With all the great quotes by Bush during the past four years what is your favorite?
Mine is:
There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —George W. Bush, Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

What he says is a lot more believable than I've got a plan...yea we know, what is it going to cost and will it work? Kerry assumes everything he does will turn to gold. And I love him telling us he will have it done in 4 years. Is this guy God or what? Everything will turn out the way he wants it to and fit into his timetable. There will be no mistakes by this guy. Jesus wasn't that arrogant.

Most Bushisms are real gems. However, I was struck by the newest one of all, spoken at toward the end of last night's debate:
"The truth of that matter is, if you listen carefully, Saddam would still be in power if he were the president of the United States, And the world would be a lot better off."
Nice to know he finally acknowledges that invading Iraq wasn't one of his better ideas...

We know where they are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat."

KARL ROVE, Bush's long-time political guru and White House advisor:

which proves there can be too much of a good thing."

"And I saw a unique threat in Saddam Hussein, as did my opponent, because we thought he had weapons of mass destruction. . . . We all thought there was weapons there. . . . My opponent thought there was weapons there. That's why he called him a grave threat. I wasn't happy when we found out there wasn't weapons, and we've got an intelligence group together to figure out why."
Yes, Crowfarm...That confusing and bewildering remark came from the transcript of the second presedential debate. with the implication being that he was not happy that the troops were not faced with WMD when they arrived.
First, the Bush administration knew that there were no weapons of mass destruction. But he told congress along with his "opponent" that there were in fact weapons - beyond a shadow of a doubt. In the statement above, it's clear that he is only interested in covering his ass. Any other president would be happy to find NO WMD in Iraq, endangering the world and 140,000 American troops.
Poor grammar has become insignificant when translating George Bush rhetoric. It's his predominant attempt to avoid the truth that is so atrociously anti-American.

Let's hope it is a different intelligent group than the one that said there was WMD in Iraq.
