What a struggle he went through, even though he had the best of care. He was an advocate for stem cell research and was only 52.

It was sad to hear. He was very brave for all the years after the accident and he never gave up the hope that he might be able to walk again. I held that hope for him also.

Hi Kiara! A bit off topic - where have you been lately? You're not allowed to post less or go on vacation without our approval - just in case you forgot.

Kraft, do you think CR would have been an advocate for stem cell research if it were not for his condition?

I was surprised by the news considering he was just here in Chicago last week giving a speech.

On This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld declares: "the area… that coalition forces control… happens not to be the area where weapons of mass destruction were dispersed. We know where they are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat."

Good question Logan. Usually people don't become involved in a cause unless it's affected them personally in some way (like Twelve and his gay baggage). Don't you find that too?

I think that most celebrities become pro-active when it involves them personally. Reeves with spinal cord injuries, Micheal J Fox with Parkinson's, and Nancy Reagen with Alzheimer's. Mary Tyler Moore with diabetes. There are a few more out there too.

I once remember watching 60 minutes, and the story was about when a celebrity advocate the need, then society pays more attention.

We need stem cell research to be broadened to allow others a chance at a better life.

Yes that is true. I think you could say the same about Michael J Fox and his personal cause for Stem Cell research.

You forgot Michael Moore.
He must have Hemorrhoids, that's why he's campaigning for the 2 (Kerry & Edwards) assholes!

Hi Kraft, I'm here off and on otherwise I'm working, or gardening or doing renovations on my house....no vacation time now. Some friends just moved here so we've been travelling some of the back roads in the area..... those hills Bear talked about ... and that's been fun.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Christopher Reeve was a true Warrior, he fought a very difficult battle right up till the end.
