http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame1.html

A friend emailed the url posted above which I think many of you would enjoy. The creator, who describes himself as a retired flame warrior, classifies the types of participants on forums, newsgroups, mailing lists, etc. The descriptions are not only accurate but wonderfully humorous and accompanied by illustrative cartoons. I know that I found more than a few prototypes of personas that I have come to know and love.

So, you are only comfortable if you can classify and generalize, Rossiquiry?

The site won't come up for me. It says "not found on this server".

Any way around it?

Hmmm...it worked this time.

Too tired to view it now. Something to look forward to tomorrow.

However, I did open up one. I can assure you, I am NOT....

I am Jerk! With a little Profundus Maximus and Loopy thrown in. I'd claim yet other influences, but I don't want to steal anyone's thunder. I see so many of my dear, dear online pals. And what pix! I'm still laughing from "Bliss Ninny."

Didn't see you, A., unless it's that guy in the robes with the crown. Hmmmm. Tough job.

Great site!

I'm delighted that some of you are enjoying the site. Actually, seeing the strategies out of individual contexts was as humorous for me as the cartoons and descriptive phrases.

No, femme, you are definitely not that one!!

P, it becomes easy to identify with quite a few of them for anyone who posts much, I think. But we're all much more than the sum of our parts!! Glad you liked it.

Hi! Glad all of you enjoyed it.
Toxic Granny is one of my favorites too, but there are so many from which to choose!

Antiquary - Thanks for the great giggle! Whoever came up with the text and drawings is a creative wizard in my book. I especially like the way s/he talks about how each personality type relates to others in the group. Truly inspired, but don't expect me to tell which Flame Warrior I resemble most. Some things are best left unsaid!

Hi, Antiquary! What a nice surprise to see your smiling face here at AW. It's been a long time since I've visited, but I hope we run into each other a lot more in the future.

I very rarely post these days, largely due to a general need to just take a break from the keyboard, but I do manage to lurk on occasion. And when I run into fun threads like yours, well, I just can't resist popping in!

As for the home front, I'm doing well, thank you, and hope things are running smoothly for you too!

RL does have a way of intervening. I'm in and out quite a bit also anymore, giving more attention to real life projects, hobbies, and friends and relatives, though I love the diversity of people and ideas here and in the Outlook. Maybe we'll both we here at the same time again soon!!

thanks so much for that link. I LMAO, what creative genius.
I wonder how many of us 'related" with certain warriors
BTW ... hope you're doing well!

It's always good to see you! I hope the sun is shining for you. I have a nasty cold and got up to check my email, auctions & a few sites and I remembered that I wanted to thank Antiquary for that link. Now, it's back to rest and plenty of fluids

Antiquary - Here I am, where are YOU?

Hello, sweet Nobs! - I'm so sorry to hear about your cold. Hope you're staying comfortable and getting lots of rest. I know how miserable it is to be feeling under the weather. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery with minimal sniffles and aches. Maybe a brownie or two will do the trick...
