okay last post for a bit, then I am outta here.

Fenix, are you going to watch this? BTW, ever wonder why are you so into NYC shows? I think you live in the wrong state (I rarely if ever watch cop shows anymore. They all got so generic and predictable.)

"NYPD Blue"
Tonight: 10 p.m. ABC
Nothing can last forever. Such is the case with ABC's long-running, taboo-breaking crime drama "NYPD Blue." The show has been through more cast changes than you can shake a police baton at in its dozen years on the air, but four-time Emmy winner Dennis Franz has been a welcome constant (despite revealing his pasty-white tokhes) throughout. Tonight, the "NYPD Blue" clan bids a fond farewell, as Sipowicz (Franz) makes some tough decisions before beginning a new chapter in his life. Preceding the finale, at 9 p.m., is a one-hour retrospective about the history of the show, hosted by former cast member Jimmy Smits.

Good riddance! I saw NYPD Blue once and Dennis Franz has to be one of the worst actors going! The only actor worse than him is that David Caruso dork on CSI. If any of you want some belly laughs, watch that show. Where do they find these people?

Krafty - Ironically Caruso came from NYPD Blue. If you don't remember he was the break out star with a break out ego from the first season. Made himself a big pain with big demands and left the show to start his movie star career which promptly fell flatimploded with the horrendous Jade (Can anyone explain why someone as good as Chaz Palmenteri so consistantly picks horrible scripts?)

DBL - I've never really been a big NYPD Blue person although I do watch the midday reruns on NYPD Blue. The only NY shows I really watch are the Law & Order series which I am an absolute addict for. Can't wait for the new one. I have long loved BeBe Nueworths work and since they have managed to keep up the "OZ alumn in every series" tradion with Kirk Acevedo I'm bound to love it. The only other show I am absolutely addicted to is The West Wing. This season has been great with Smitts and Alda - don't we all wish we could have had candidates like the ones they portrayed last year?

With NYPD Blue going off the air, maybe ABC will try to bring back Cop Rock.

LOL Logan - no - they are going to replace it with the gritty tail of a blind detective. I don't hold high hopes.

Classic - I don't have the patience - I get the DVD from Netflix when it comes out and have a 24 marathon weekend.

Classic I've wanted to watch that, but have yet to catch it. Is it on fox? Or the sci-fi network? I will have to look it up. Always thought Kiefer Sutherland is an interesting character actor that easily gets one involved in the plot.

That's hilarious Fenix! They should have a bad actors award show - geez, there's enough of them!

What's 24?

P.S. I like Six Feet Under and Trailer Park Boys. Great acting.

24 is great.

I first started watching it this season. I had to buy the first 3 seasons on DVD to catch up.

I started watching the first season and can't stop watching it. If I could stay awake for 72 hours I would watch seasons 1-3 from beginning to end.

db-its on fox at 9pm mondays-I have missed two episodes this season,so I set my tivo to record the rest of the season on tivos hard drive.I will then copy it to dvd.
Kraft and DB-If you havent watched it,dont bother because its a continuing story and you will come right in the middle of it.You'd be better off to wait until it comes out on dvd.
The basic story line is a group of middle eastern terrorists kidnap the sec of defense and are going to excute him on national tv.But that was a diversion as what they really want to do is melt down all the power plants by computer in the U.S.killing millions. The "24"
stands for 24 hours in the day-this all takes place in one day. Each episode is an hour-ie 24 episodes. This is a VERY intense show, one of the best I've ever seen.

Dad-I thought the was the first season this was on tv as I NEVER watch commerical tv.The only reason I got wind of this was,I was watching the baseball play-offs between the Yanks and Redsox on Fox and I believe it was then they had commericals for it.
Dad-the first two seasons-are they different story lines or is the third season a continuation of the first two seasons?

Classic - This is season 4

Season 1 - Jack saves the leading presidential candidate from an assasination attempt, uncovers mole in CTU, and tries to save blissfully stupid daughter

Season 2 - Jack saves LA from nuclear bomb and world from destruction (or is it US from invading foreign country) as mole from CTU comes back as uber-evil ex mistress from hell, blissfully stupid daughter returns dumber than ever, and suspiciously evil ex presidential wife shows herself coniving as well.

Season 3 - Jack saves LA from innerd liquidating biotoxin, kills uber evil ex misstress and protects, by employing, slightly smarter daughter but cuts off future sun in laws hand. Decidedly evil ex presidential wife is felled by her own conivings.

There seems to be about a 2 year stretch between each of Jacks Days From Hell.

Classic,

If you want to save yourself some money, buy the chinese version of 24 off ebay. The DVDs are in English. The only difference is the packaging and a little bit of chinese characters on the box and labeling. I got the first three seasons of ebay for a total of $30.00.

Logansdad-I thought of that.I saw a whole bunch of them on Ebay.I did buy the American version this morning for one good reason. The chinese version doesnt sell at that good.Since I have a dvd recorder, what I want to do is copy them on blank dvds keep them, and then re-sell the originals on Ebay and hope to make up most of the money or break even for what I bought them for.If you dont have a dvd recorder, and cant do that, then what you did was probably best.

You better watch what you say classic, you just admitted to being a pirate. Ahoy there mattey

I do have a recorder but wanted to keep the DVD set. I have found no difference between the US version and the Chinese version except the price.
