So here I am listening to the Leno show. Once again he is featuring two young airheads. He found these young ladies a while back on one of his "question the people on the street" forays.

I am having trouble believing these two could possibly be as stupid as they appear! Hopefully at least some of their appearances are scripted, because these chicks are too idiotic to live. The term functional moron comes to mind. If none of it is scripted, someone should raze their school to the ground, fire every teacher & school official & kick their parents around the block for letting them grow up this way.

These two are positively scary! Just thinking that they "are our future" makes me ill.

I think they are kind of cute. BUT I think they really are that ignorant. Oklahoma should be proud! The "Opal" Office! HAHAHA!!!

Physically they are cute, but for me there is nothing "cute" about the level of ignorance they display. Stomach-turning, yes. Cute, no. The population of Oklahoma should be writhing with embarrassment...

No, I don't mean physically cute. I like the way they can talk at the same time and have the same expression on their faces. They are funny. The comment about OKLA being proud was tounge in cheek. I am always appalled at the answers Jay Leno gets when he does his "Jay-walking" segment. I have difficulty believing that people have made so little use of their education. He seems to run into many like these two.

I didn't see it, so no comment on them in particular. But, the high ditz population was one of the main reasons my daughter took early graduation last year. I think a large portion of the population of young people is split between cutsie ditzy and hard-a$$ed in your face kinds. At least, in my part of the woods.

Guess I just can't see it. I just don't find them remotely amusing. Speaking of writhing in embarassment,Leno's show appears in several countries around the world. I wager *they* find these two amusing...

I like them better than the other dumb one with the sqeeky voice Leno used earlier. I can't help it that I think it is worth a chuckle.I respect that you can't see any humor in it. I have two children that are just a bit older than that and I know they[the two on Leno] are not representative of all kids that age. I just hope those girls will be able to make a living..........

edited for clarity and because it is time for bed and I am making typos!!!

There isn't alot out there for them, is there? They're so stupid they would even have a hard time working at a fast food place--and many of those have been reduced to pictographs so their employees can function moderately well! They could marry,I suppose...but does society really need them to perpetuate their genes? (And besides, in today's economy most families need two incomes, so they'd still have to work) They're not tall or thin enough to be models. Acting? No, that requires some literacy. The military certainly wouldn't want them. Are they even smart enough to operate a lawn mower? No, I guess gardening is out, too. You know, about the only "career" they seem suited for is artist's model--they'd be able to sit in one pose for periods of time, I suppose. I don't think it pays all that well, though.

"They're so stupid they would even have a hard time working at a fast food place-"

I went through the McDonalds drive through last night. I placed my order and drove around to the pick up window. I was the only car in line. A young teen popped his head out the window and stated to me "Uh, what are you here for?". Startled, I replied back to him "For my food I believe". He actually had to turn to the guy behind him for an answer. The other person said "our computers are down and we just needed to know what your order was". The younger teen said "Uh, that's what I ment".

Talk about a ditz. And yes, they did botch-up the order.

Our future is in their hands.

There's one McD's in town we go to for breakfast on flea-market day whenever we're feeling in need of an ego-boost.

I always order the Spanish Omelet Bagel. I always order it WITHOUT the sausage.

It comes wrapped up quite nicely, with a big sticker on it that reads "double-checked for accuracy".

At least 50% of the time it still has the sausage on it.

After seeing that sort of work, it's hard not to feel like a genius merely by default!

We watched those girls all week. As a high school teacher for 15 years, my opinion is that those two girls have a wonderful act they have spent years developing. The way they played off each other was comparative to Burns and Allen. You would probably be surprised at how intelligent they really are, to come up with the things they do.

Because of the subject I teach, I always have the top 10% of the senior class. This years' group had GPA's in the high 90's. But when they decide to act dumb, nobody does it better than a really bright kid.

Don't let those girls upset you. I would imagine that most people saw through their act, and enjoyed it as much as we did.
