I seem to 'know' you guys better! LOL!
Help!

Ok I am thinking of ending all my listing, I did shut down the store. As you all know, the fees are outrageous. I did sell quit a few in the store for awhile, and nada on auctions now, but 1 or 2 here and there, and it isn't worth the fees!

Anyway here is my dilema (sp?) (I know it should be in EO, but hey! )

I sell new boots and shoes, for Women and children

I sold a pair to someone, and they left me +feedback and this is the SECOND email from her, I just did not know how to respond to it. Because IMO its Buyer Remorse

Here it is

Hi, I emailed you before and asked you a question. As it turns out my daughter didn't like the boots like I thought she would ( Can I get a refund on them or do I just list them for auction on eBay? PLEASE let me know. Thanks....xxxxxxx

Ok, can't a person just make the descion herself for selling them on ebay??? I don't know a polite way to say NO REFUND..
I guess I'm just way to stressed about other things to be doing this, and honestly I don't know how to politely word anything back to her!

help?

BTW Profe ruined my appetite by posting about the processed cheese food!!! my day is ruined now!

Tell her that for reasons of hygene, you do not accept returns. If ou feel really gracious ..or guilty.. tell her that she is welcome to use your photos from the original auction if she decides to resell them.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Near, reply this way:

It will be less expensive for you to list them on eBay & sell them your self that to pay to have the boots shipped back to me.

"Thanks for your email. Sorry, I don't give refunds, but because you are such a good customer, I'd be willing to give you 20% (or whatever) off on your next purchase."

Near, you could just say, I'm sorry, I am not set up to take refunds at this time and she's more than welcome to resell them on ebay or a yard sale.

Keep it simple and do NOT let her nag you into anything you dont want to do.

Thanks you guys!

I went ahead and emailed her, said she can ship them back I'd give a refund of the bid amount only, no shipping once twice whatever, OR she can relist them on ebay, which would save her money. I took bears post there

Mike was telling me all this sh*t about restocking fee etc. I didn't want to get into it.

As far as hygiene, yeah they could have worn them, but from what I read from her, her daughter didn't like them, thing is, I thought they were for a child at first, till I looked it up, and they are adult size, and her daughter is an adult.

Thanks!!

As an adult, my mother has bought me things that I didn't like. I took them, thanked her and wore them when she was around. I cherish everything she buys me whether I like the item or not. Now, I feel bad for her. A mother might not always pick out things we'd buy for ourselves, but a gift is a gift. And, a gift from your mother is the best one of all! Well, except those great gifts your kids used to give when they were small. I think my mom still has my clay ashtray from kindergarten. I thought you were talking about a child, not an adult. IMO, the daughter should have taken the boots and worn them anyway.

There, I feel better. BTW, you handled it just fine.

Near, you are just an ole softie...lol!

Cheryl, I really agree with you. When my mom got up in years, she'd go to all these garage sales and buy like the stupidest sh* and then she'd load me and my sister up like it was Christmas! One time my sister got so exasperated with her and said, "MOM, I DONT WANT ALL THIS JUNK!!" My mother was so hurt. Boy, did I lite into my sister for that. Take the sh* and throw it in the dumpster if you dont want it. It was about the only thing that made her happy (my mother) at that point..why you gotta be such a bit* you know?

yeah, I really am a softie!

Cheryl, I agree. Though my mother passed away when I was about 18 or so, if she was alive today, I would treasure anything she gave me. When she did pass away, we found all the stuff from when we were all small, all the little things we gave her, like your mom does. Like I do with mine, the attic here is nearly full with stuff, they made for me, all their report cards, tropheys from sports etc

Classic! LOL! I will use that in any other situation I hope doesn't come up, but if it does, I will

Talk about Softies...
I recently bid on and won an item on Ebay. Paid for it immediately via Paypal.. a couple of days go by and the seller emails me to say he is very sorry to have to tell me that he noticed a tear in the item when he was packaging it and so wouldn't be able to send it after all.. but he said he would either give me credit toward another item that he would be posting shortly or refund my paypal account..
Since it wasn't a huge amount (18.00) I said I'd take a look at his upcoming auctions and see if there was something that I liked..

Then he wrote to tell me that he wouldn't be posting on Monday as planned as his daughter was critically ill and he was leaving to be with her.. and asked me to pray for her.
It's been a while.. he hasn't posted anymore auctions and I'm to much of a softie to press him on the matter.. after all how trivial is my 18.00 in comparison with the life of his daughter...
