When The President Talks To God
by Bright Eyes
When the president talks to God
Are the conversations brief or long?
Does he ask to rape our women’s' rights
And send poor farm kids off to die?
Does God suggest an oil hike
When the president talks to God?
When the president talks to God
Are the consonants all hard or soft?
Is he resolute all down the line?
Is every issue black or white?
Does what God say ever change his mind
When the president talks to God?
When the president talks to God
Does he fake that drawl or merely nod?
Agree which convicts should be killed?
Where prisons should be built and filled?
Which voter fraud must be concealed
When the president talks to God?
When the president talks to God
I wonder which one plays the better cop
We should find some jobs. the ghetto's broke
No, they're lazy, George, I say we don't
Just give 'em more liquor stores and dirty coke
That's what God recommends
When the president talks to God
Do they drink near beer and go play golf
While they pick which countries to invade
Which Muslim souls still can be saved?
I guess god just calls a spade a spade
When the president talks to God
When the president talks to God
Does he ever think that maybe he's not?
That that voice is just inside his head
When he kneels next to the presidential bed
Does he ever smell his own #*!@
When the president talks to God?
I doubt it
I doubt it

Just MORE mocking of those of faith. tsk tsk.... Stupid pokes at a President who believes in God, like the majority of American's do.
Hope it make you feel good to mock people of faith. It only makes YOU look small, imo.

Hi dblfugger - Yea....a teenage mentality at best.
Too bad ol' "Bright Eyes" and others here are blind to the fact that all American President's have prayed to God asking for his guidance in their decision making process.
Just another childish 'poke' and double standard from kiara.

When Bush and most other people talk to what ever God they believe in, they usually ask for guidance, wisdom, forgiveness and tolerance. Among other things.
What do you talk to your God about?
Amen,

Bush along with other republican leaders like Tom DeLay and Bill Fisk say God is on their side. That way they are able to justify their NON-CHRISTAN ACTIONS like cutting almost every program that help the poor and needy American to pay for the Hugh tax cuts they gave the rich American and industry.
True Christians believe the other way around. True Christians pray to be on God's side.

Colin, I agree that Bush is in desperate need of guidance and I agree that he is in desperate need of wisdom and a sense of tolerance....among other things as you suggest. But after several years of prayer, I see that God has failed to answer George's prayer. I can only conclude that the situation is hopeless and that only a change of administration will save our country from his gross and frankly dangerous ineptitude as leader of the U.S.

When you publish something like this it is It shows ignorance of the poster. I though Kiara had more intelligence than this but I guess I am wrong. Do you feel good now Kiara? Are you smiling big smiles that you could post that. Now you can sit back and read all the feel good posts that your followers will do. You have a great day.

Kiara has more intelligence in her little finger than you and all your followers have put together.

Helen it is only you and a few others that follow Kiara into this discussion board. She leads you follow. Now your assuming again Helen. See how fast you came in to defend her it took you 14 minutes. Probably broke a record.
Colin the statement you made, When do you talk to your God. That's a laugh with most of the posters in this RT as you should have found out by now. They think their god is Crowfarm.
How would you know that bigpeepa? By the sound of your posts you believe in only bigpeepa as a disciple because you spread the word. The word of the AOL gods.

FYI, Bright Eyes was on Jay Leno last night and it was said he was being compared to Dylan. He sang the song and the audience (all ages) truly loved it. It has nothing to do with mocking people of faith.
Guess some of you just don't get it but then that's no surprise here.

American Idiot Lyrics
Artist(Band):Green Day
Dont wanna be an american idiot
Dont want a nation under the new media
Hey can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind f*** america
Welcome to a new kind of tension
All across the alien nation
Where everything isn't meant to be O.K.
Television dreams of tomorrow
We're not the ones who're meant to follow
For that's enough to argue
Maybe I am the f*ggot America
I'm not a part of some redneck agenda
Now everybody do the propaganda
And sing along to the age of paranoia
Don't wanna be an American Idiot
One nation controlled by the media
Information age of hysteria
It's calling out to Idiot America

being compared to Dylan??
are you for real? The lyrics that band writes are so elementary. Big deal they got a break on Leno, doesnt bring them anywhere close to Dylan.

Put on your reading hat, Libra. I responded to Colin 6 hours after Kiara started this thread. As you know, I follow no one here and owe no one my undivided allegiance. I say exactly what I think without regard to any personal regard.
Kiara would make a great leader....but there is no one here to lead.

I didn't say I thought he was like Dylan, it was a comment made on the show.
BTW, I didn't write the song so I don't understand why you're upset at me for putting it on. I get the feeling that some of you don't agree with free speech in America and only want to hear words or music that you agree with. Perhaps you should take time and listen to what some of the younger people think about the world. Green Day's song has been out there for many months now and has a message.
And all this "taking sides" or "defending" or "leader" BS everytime Helen and I happen to turn up on the same thread or agree with each other is getting really stupid.
I guess it's the sheep mentality where you can't believe that some of us actually think for ourselves and freely post whatever we choose to and don't need the approval of a crowd.
Is it because you are so stuck on the idea of kissing ass in this forum because you do so much of it yourselves that you think the rest of us are the same? Newsflash! We're not!

Kiara, I love Green Day. This is for you...
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
