Guess Mother Nature was trying to tell them something about summer warm weather.

Minnesota men abandon Arctic trek
An attempt by two men from northern Minnesota to cross the Arctic Ocean to call attention to global warming ended this morning because of poor weather conditions.
Lonnie Dupre, 43, and Eric Larsen, 33, were forced to abandon their planned 100-day, 1,200-mile trek after encountering unexpectedly heavy snow storms, strong winds and unusual ice conditions, according to Jane Kochersperger, a media officer with the environmental group Greenpeace, which co-sponsored the trip.
The men started the expedition about three weeks ago and had planned to complete their crossing -- the first ever in summer months -- by August.
Kochersperger said the men decided to cut short the trek Thursday, ''but the weather was so bad we couldn’t get to them.''
She said the explorers were picked up this morning by helicopter and are being taken to Moscow.
''We can try to fend off Mother Nature and force our way forward, but I think to do so would end in disaster,'' Dupre said in a statement released by Greenpeace. ''We need to respect that and just go back to the drawing board and see what we can do.''

Since you used just one storm to "prove" that global warming doesn't exist(pretty stupid) here's one example to, of course, prove you wrong.
But you won't read it because you may learn something new and I know that's scary for the ignorant.
New data on global warming; thinning polar ice cap By Marsha Walton CNN Tuesday, May 10, 2005 Posted: 4:19 PM EDT (2019 GMT) (CNN) -- One outcome of global warming could be a dramatic cooling of Britain and northern Europe. Scientists now have evidence that changes are occurring in the Gulf Stream, the warm and powerful ocean current that tempers the western European climate. Without the influence of the Gulf Stream and its two northern branches, the North Atlantic Drift and the Canary Current, the weather in Britain could be more like that of Siberia, which shares the same latitude. Cambridge University ocean physics professor Peter Wadhams points to changes in the waters of the Greenland Sea. Historically, large columns of very cold, dense water in the Greenland Sea, known as "chimneys," sink from the surface of the ocean to about 9,000 feet below to the seabed. As that water sinks, it interacts with the warm Gulf Stream current flowing from the south. But Wadhams says the number of these "chimneys" has dropped from about a dozen to just two. That is causing a weakening of the Gulf Stream, which could mean less heat reaching northern Europe. The activity in the Greenland Sea is part of a global pattern of ocean movement, known as thermohaline circulation, or more commonly the "global conveyor belt."

HaHaHa I prove you wrong and all you can come back with is insults despite your hilarious....
"PS craw my life doesn't center on the rt with name calling and insulting other posters."
ROFLMAO !!!
And, of course, being a stupid neocon you just HAD to bring Clinton's sex life into a thread on global warming
OH, THAT"S logical !
YOU LOST THE ARGUMENT but at least you had the guts to admit global warming exists ...you're learning , bear, something I really didn't think you could do !
Congratulations! Now, if I could just get you past all that name calling you hate

linduh, please explain in scintillating detail why you can't address this post proving your support of bear as being dead wrong....pleeeasse oh pleease...
I love your simpering "I've been wronged" posts .....although some are kind of embarassing in their total lack of dignity or self respect.

There's a lot of ignorance on the part of so-called educated Americans about the scientific method. With global warming, which is a reality, folks, we will still have ups and downs of weather, still have snowstorms, etc. One example doesn't prove anything.
Do just a teeny bit of research on this subject, check out the melting ice cap, talk to most reputable scientists, and then come back here and post your unscientific junk!

suzyQ - Many reputable scientists, themselves are in disagreement on this issue. If they all agreed we wouldn't have two sides to this issue....there'd be but one.

There is no "disagreement" that there is global warming. The "disagreement" is whether there is anything abnormal going on or a continuation of cycles in process for hundreds of millions of years.
Being a "greenie" does not give you the gift of great intelligence, usually it is quite the opposite.
It's like "the hole in the ozone". Core samples show it to always have been there, increasing and decreasing for eons.

Prove something first. You haven't proved Jack squat in anything of yours that I have read yet. But as the typical Demoron, you divert the real attention away from the problem of your own and try to pass fault to someone else other than yourself.
Here is how the Demomoron double standard is really coming into play. The Clinton White House forced the discontinuation of R12 Freon because it eats away the Ozone layer. Ok, so far a noble cause. They force R134 Suuva in it's place. It isn't quite as efficient as R12, but does work suffiently. Only problem is R134 causes global warming. So, the Demomorons have caused global warming and now trying to place fault on everyone else except themselves.
Double standard? Pretty clear to me.

Well duh. It is the Artic, not sunny Florida. Hey but that was not much different than the freak snow storm in Colorda the other day.
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

Bush was right. The truth did come out and the facts are he misled Congress and the American people about the reasons we should go to war in Iraq.
