When I first moved to the east the summer storms use to scare me. I wasn't use to the lighting and booms. Lighting hit a nearby building that shook my house so hard, we had a huge crack in the wall and falling plaster.

Then after I got over my fear, I grew to love them. I loved getting scared and watching the light show.

Now I hate them. I cannot work while they are going on. They set my smoke alarm off, cut off my power......

I have to go now, I hear one heading towards me LOL.

If you love getting scared, you would love to open your front door someday and see crowfart standing on your front porch.

She didn't say she wanted to be scared to death.

I like all the things you think of doing while the power is out, like vacuuming, doing laundry, watching tv.

Kind of ironic as the cowfarm lives in the middle of Thunderstorm country.

I agree, it would scare me out of my bigeebers if cowfarm was standing at my doorway too.

Actually, I love thunderstorms. They are quite relaxing. Sitting down looking out the picture window watching the show provided by nature. Wish we had more on the way.

I love a good thunderstorm during the day. We had one yesterday that tore through here. We usually sit out on the front porch and watch. Geesh, with this heat it's welcome relief. I don't like them at night though when I'm trying to sleep. I especially hate the ones that startle you right out of bed.

I have always loved to watch lightning, even as a child. My mother used to say God was taking pictures of us. When it thundered, God and the angels were bowling. I told mine the same things when they were little, and they were never afraid either.

Yep, I really like the ones like the one that left me without electricity for 8 hours last week. Eight hours without A/C in East Texas in July ain't fun.

I love thunderstorms too! But its pretty rare up here in W. WA. I loved the ones in TX, when we lived there.

I love thunderstorms.

But my grandmother was terrified of them. As soon as it started to thunder she turned out all the lights, tv, etc. and started pacing. If it was dark, she would pace with a flashlight in her hand.

I hate thunderstorms! They scare me to death..actually any loud noise makes me nervous..
I'm like your grandma Cherished, especially if they start up after dark.. I have all my candles lined up, my flashlights and my automatic wall lights that go on when the power goes out and my battery operated radio by my side..not to mention my 3 scared dogs wrapped around my ankles..

I guess some of you missed Popnrock's question. I'd answer but it's too embarrassing. (No)

I love them. I have the 'Environmental' records and use to put 'Thunderstorm' on 8-track and drive around playing it loud.

I spent most of my life in S.Cal. Hardly rains, always sunny (except for June gloom).

Everyone thought I would run when I moved to the east and experienced snow. Turns out I love snow. I love walking in really cold weather.

I love being able to experience seasons. The only thing I do not care for is the humidity in the summer. : )

Just had a thunderstorm roll through about 5:30 this AM. Talk about hard waking up. Those things usually put me into a very deep sleep.
