Okay with all this political grumbling going on I am just curious about who people would vote for. If you could vote for anyone that you thought would make a great president, who would it be?( I do know you can write in a vote but we all know what a waste that has been in the past)
Personnaly I always thought Walter Cronkite would make a good president. But then I realize I know nothing about the man, what I do know was proably a carefully cultivated
media image.(Is he still alive?)

Hi tegan.
Molly Ivins is a columnist and editorial writer for the Fort Worth Star Telegram and she writes hysterically funny political satire. Collections of her writings have been published and popularly read. She has a very liberal viewpoint but wit allows her to transcend political partisanship, thus her ability to remain employed in Fort Worth.

Jerry Brown, with DoctorBeetle as Veep.
I think they should prove they know how to inhale before they run, though.

She will if you tell her that the VP gets the hunkiest assistant on the Beltway, all the single malt she can drink, and a late-model PC loaded with Dragon Dictate Pro.

Yes, those enticements and a pre-election blanket pardon agreement might just do it. With Molly there the office of VP would never be easily dismissed again, and with the Press salivating for her election, tremendous support for the ticket. Of course, there is the campaign financing issue................

It's the jamester! I have been thinking about you and wondering where you were. And I can just imagine Iggy doing "Chairman of the Board" at the Inauguration.
Do you know Portishead, James, and if you do, what do you think of them?
- Pareau
P.S. I forgot about the blanket pardon, Antiquary. I can't keep up--have they cracked down on soft dollars yet? If not, there'll be no problem with the campaign financing. The only sticky wicket I'd anticipate is keeping her convinced that your job is really unfun. Regurgitate on a couple of potentates early on and make the UN do all the war things, and you should be safe for at least one term.

ubie--I like McCain also.
P. I think that I should take my direction from Mollie's last book, You Got to Dance with Them That Brung You, and avoid the soft money. Besides the Buddhists and Chinese officials are lying low these days. So I respectfully withdraw my name from nomination. Mollie of course will have to speak for herself, and I'm confident that she is ready and able to do so.
