LOL Near - I have about 60 things in my que right now so I don't think I'll be in the way.
I'm waiting for The Wire: Season 3 - that's one that I will push to the top and keep a good long time. I just wish they would get better people doing the commentaries - a few of the ators would be nice. Sound editors doing commentary does nothing for me. There are some beautifully written, well acted and really unique charachters on that show. Call me kooky but wouldn't hearing from the guy that plays a openly gay man that makes his living ripping off drug dealers yet has this very endearing and respectable code of "ethics" and great sense of irony or the British actor that is playing the second in command of a Baltimore drug gang while taking college business classes and applying business and marketing principles to the drug trade a lot more interesting than a sound editor talking about how subtle abient sounds add to the tension of a shooting scene?

Fenix, are you on the 3 at a time plan? If so how many movies do you seem to average a week?
I was getting in 4, but seems like their shipping has slowed, could it be because of the movie?

maggie-there talking about Netflix. You pay so much a month and you can get as many dvds as you like.I.E.-If your on the 3 plan, they send you 3 dvds in the mail. When your finished with those, you send them back and you can get 3 more.I BELIEVE thats how it works.

Thanks Classy..

Yes Classic, they also have a 1 at a time plan.
You can watch same evening and send it back to get another on your list or you can hold on to them as long as you want.
They do have a great selection of DVD's

Ron - I'm actually on the 8 at a time, I go thru 2-3 a day. I usually have them runing at night when I am working on different projects. If I mail on Monday, they arrive on Tuesday and I get new ones on Wednesday so I get new stuff every day.
Mags - we are talking about Netflix. It's a DVD rental program that operates by internet and mail. You go to their site and pick movies or TV series out on DVD that you want to see. You can sign up at three different levels, 3 at a time, 5 at a time or 8 at a time. Once you send a disk back (prepaid envelopes) they send you the next available disk on your list (Queue). If you are a nightowl like me that can't stand silence it's a great program, I average renting about 60 disks a month and pay a flat fee of $50 (I'm on the 8 at a time program). Can you imagine what that one would cost me renting from Blockbuster?
Near was talking about the upcoming release of the Fox series House (caustic sarcastic Dr from Hell) and I was talking about the HBO series The Wire (Baltimore outfit of "misfit" cops tackling vaious forms of organizzed crime - gang based, international smuggling, political corruption, etc.)
Congrats Mags my girl... you are now an insider

The only individuals I can think of with series on HBO are Bill Mahr who I love and Ali G who annoys the hell out of me. I like their series. OZ (yes I know, over for years but I have the DVDs and therehave been more tha na few Oz marathons around here), The Sopranos, and the Wire (Just discovered it thanks to Netflix - it's absolutely as good as the previously mentioned ones, but has not gotten anywhere near the attention it deserves).
Have you noticed that I have a fascination for crime related shows?
