This is my first posting. I need to get something off my chest. It's the WWF and all the other so called "professional" wrestling shows. Or should I say sideshows?
Is it right for the promoters to gear it towards elementary school aged kids? The violence, language, and sex is affecting them. I have an eight year old nephew and I see that "acceptable" behavior in him.

Hi there.

"Right" has nothing to do with it, obviously.

From what I've seen, I wouldn't want any of my hypothetical kids watching it. There are women getting knocked around (all in good fun, of course. And kids, we are professionals -- don't try this at home). Not the wrestling I watched when I was eight. Definitely not my thing.

James.

Heck, I don't like my 20 year old watching it! When he was a kid it was fun, and I even took him to the matches when the WWF came to town. But they've really gone over the edge. Vince McMahon needs a lobotomy.

One of the groups was in my town on Monday....I don't follow which is which, but they did do a show Nitro, I think??

Thought it was pretty damn stupid. I wouldn't let my kids watch, but to each their own I guess.

I abslutely agree with you!!!!!!!! It must be the TV's job to babysit the children. God forbid parents actually try parenting nowadays....

This website might be to your liking.

Oh yes it's quite terrible isn't it. It might just signal the downfall of Mankind, right?

No but your close, The next Brady Bunch reunion will be the signal. When those previews hit the airwaves... pack your bags, throw your kids in the explorer, and head for the hills!

Our kids are all older, but WWF is not allowed on in our house. It is just plain bad.

Meya, it's not allowed in our house either. Can't be just coincidence that, at least around here, the kids that pick fights watch WWF. The ones who have the sense not to or aren't allowed to don't.
