Well...it's not April 1st so it can't be an April Fool's day post...
I think she's pulling our legs.
Not that long ago she was questioning what part of her husband's SS payment she'd get.
So daddy is over 65? Not counting mommy's no spring chick herself......

Linda, it reminded me of an old Monty Python skit where a pregnant woman's baby just popped out on the floor while she was doing the dishes. She already had about 20 kids.

KD - When we lived in Huntington Beach, CA....one of our neighbors had 9 children [Catholic family]....she told me she had the last two at home 'with assistance'. I asked her what she meant by 'assistance'. ...just someone to 'catch' the baby when it 'fell' out. I kid you not. Guess after that many labor's pretty darn short.

Maggie, have a great time and hurry back with pictures!
Linda, I've heard stories like that too. But then my mind wonders too far and I think about their sex lives.

My father was one of 15 children, 13 of whom lived to adulthood. My mother had 8 siblings. I have a zillion cousins in just my own generation....poor me, only 3 kids...women these days, go figure.
Congrats Maggie....babies good, no babies, bad.

My daughter and her husband are already talking about having another!
profe, my dad was the youngest of 10 and he is the last one. They are all from Germany. And they were not Catholic, my dad converted when he married my mother.

Prof - how do you deal with all those people? As I have said before I have an immediate family of 2 (3 if you count a hlf sister I've seen three times in my life). Just the concept of that many people makes my head hurt.
BTW - Congrats Miss Mags!

fenix- My mother is the youngest of 10 (or is it 10 and then her?). I am the oldest of 7. That makes 20 grandchildren (not counting the steps), with 6 great grandchildren (so far).
Christmas at Mom and Dad's is a very noisy affair. But there's nothing like being surrounded by family.

fenix, the ranch here is family headquarters, but we're spread out all over the place...the only times we all get together any more is when a baby is baptized, or somebody gets married or buried...I get along with most of them, and some of them don't come around anymore. In a family as big as mine, you can't like everybody, god knows they don't all like me either, but they're all still family, and push comes to shove, this is their home.

Gotta admit I love the history behind your ranch. Rumor has it the parental dream home will be finished around the end of the year. If you notice a 5' tall gringa wondering on the property around that time, don't shoot!

Wander around all you want, it's a big place..you'll be safe here, long as you don't eat any of the lambs
When you hear an old fashioned playground bell ring three times, it means dinner's ready. My first wife installed it on the side of the barn, with a switch in the kitchen, so she wouldn't have to go out and holler for me and the girls.

Well, ya made it through how many hurricanes so far( I lost count) so I have faith you and your home will be fine.
I saw the picture on CNN of people in Louisianna crawling along a freeway, stop and go, for miles......don't they know any other way out of the city? They'll be out of gas before they hit the city limits!
