From Big Ed's website:
""(08/30/2005)
Americans in the southern part of the United States are going through the event of their lives and the President is on the campaign trail pimping Social Security.
The man has no personal touch and that was proven again today, reading from a script in Coronado, California asking people to help.
Where is your help Mr. President? How about dealing a blow to your oil buddies and asking them to back off on record profits?
How about going to the Hurricane site for yourself and lead the American people through a terrible disaster? How about asking Americans to open their hearts and bank accounts to help people?
Better yet, ask your Republican majority to step up right away with unprecedented money for relief the same way you did for Iraq. $87 billion sounds like a familiar figure to me. That was a number that stuck with all of us during your campaign.
For the last 2 days the President has been on the road selling Social Security reform. What is more important right now? His agenda or the needy people of the south?
Leadership is about face to face, belly to belly connecting with people under stress. Show us you care by going further than reading a script on the daily schedule.
The man has no shame..."""
Genghis Khan had more compassion and leadership skills than the souless monkey we have for a president.
AND I wonder how hard it will be for monetary aid to reach these people....I bet it will take a whole lot longer than it took to reach Iraq and Halliburton ....and they won't be handing out bags of it like they do in Iraq.
Bush doesn't give a damn about AMERICANS unless he can rip them off or get them killed.

All he's telling is what you demonrats want to hear to pump up his ratings.
"Why, it appears that we appointed all of our worst generals to command the armies and we appointed all of our best generals to edit the newspapers. I mean, I found by reading a newspaper that these editor generals saw all of the defects plainly from the start but didn't tell me until it was too late. I'm willing to yield my place to these best generals and I'll do my best for the cause by editing a newspaper." --Robert E. Lee

Liberal radio is not only making it but its also making the CONservatives very up tight. Yes Big Ed and others are exposing the CON in the word conservative.

Where was the President.....on vacation.
Where was the Vice-President....on vacation.
Where was Condasleeza.....buying thousands of dollars worth of shoes in New York.
Where was Rove....waiting until Cindy Shehan left to and then partied with the anti-Sheehan group.
Their response must've been Storm? What storm? Disaster ? What disaster? Who cares...it's just the poor.
WE cut funding to strengthen the flood control projects...who cares!
This isn't political ?????
OH yes it is..
Stop and think people....this was a PREDICTED disater with time to PREPARE......
Look at the horrible aftermath.
Start thinking what it would be like when we're hit by surprise!
This administration REFUSED to take care of a situation they should've KNOWN was coming, they ignored it and just partied on...!!!!
OOOOH WOW they're sending 10 billion in relief aid....big deal ...they LOST 9 billion outright in Iraq!
And will these poor people in OUR country just be handed the money in bags as they did in Iraq? Hellno! They'll have to fight for every penny.
