There was a woman on Fox news lastnight that was talking about the 4500 registered sex offenders from NO that some of which are missing and that they need to track down the rest. She said that some have come forward and reregistered but that it was just a small number and there are many more that have gone to other states.

She mention the states registered sex offender websites and how anyone can access them, so i thought i'd look up my states website and i was absolutely shocked to see the pictures along with the offenses that they were convicted for of some people that i have actually known throughout the years. Some i have worked with, lived next door to or down the street from and i never even knew they were keeping their secrets.

Each state has their own website that anyone can access and i urge all to go check out their states website, it may shock or surprise you too.

My advice to anyone who goes to the website is to be sure to be sitting down. When this was first available here in California, I was shocked at the amount of people that I knew on this list in the town where I had lived for 46 years. (now my former town). The biggest shock was a Little League coach that my 29 year old son had when he was 12!!! Also, my co worker's husband, the neighbors on both sides of my house and the grocery clerk at my favorite store.

I have heard of ex wives and ex husbands that get wrongly accused of sex crimes out of hatefulness by the other spouse.

Do they say what crime was committed to go along with these people's faces? If these people raped or did something as equally violent, why are they out? If not, what's considered a sex crime?

Yes they do say what the crimes were that they committed. On some it says 'criminal sexual penetration' which is the same thing as rape and with the child molesters it's called 'criminal sexual contact' or 'penetration of a minor'. They also give their home addresses and on some their work addresses too.

It just sickened me to see some of these people and the offenses that they were convicted for and to know that i actually knew/know some of them.

Thinking back on it and some of the interactions i had with some and remembering certain instances and conversations, i can see now why then i thought that some were kinda weird or strange and others just acted normally but they all were hiding their own dirty little secret about themselves.

So kraft, did you go to your states sex offender website?

Oh wait, that's right, you live in Canada. Do they even jail sex offenders there or do they just feed them to Polar Bears??

I checked out our state sex offender website

There is none within a 5 mile radius, to our house

But it blew me away, my brother said to put his work address in downtown Seattle, and they were all living in a fairly nice apt building.

The thing that bothered me is they class them as Level II or Level III, with level III, they are high risk of reoffending! God you have to think, why the hell they were let out of prison then??

the ones here when you clicked on there name, yes there was the picture, the address wasn't totally there, it would say something like 3XX Madison Ave but the map was right there, it wasn't hard to figure where they were.

Oh and most were Child Rape or Lewd Behavior.

I'm happy that we now have this resource to be able to see which offenders are living near our homes.

And I agree, NearTheSea, the level II and above, imo, should be locked up and the key thrown away. But with the hundreds of thousands of them all across our Nation...that would mean many new prisons. I'd be willing to pay more taxes to keep them locked away forever, rather than see the repeat offenders damage more young lives.

Each time one is caught and sent to jail....we all know there were others they damaged and weren't caught for hurting.

O'Reilly was having a fit about this subject last night. Stating some pervert had molested an 11 year old...and the mandatory sentence in that state was 90 DAYS. Ninety days for molesting a child that will live with this action for the rest of her life. So very, very sad. We all need to speak up to our state representatives and INSIST they make the sentences longer....or forever.

Would the liquidation of these people be considered genocide?

Amen,
