I don't know why I bother to try to make plans. They always end up getting tossed out the window. I may not be around much in the coming weeks/mpnths. Turns out that my mother just found out she needs back surgery again and rather than do it after the move when she doesn't know any of the surgeons she's going to have it in three weeks which means I'm heading back to help finish packing the house, have the yard sale (yuck!!) do a bit of after surgery care (the step has a horrible bedside manner) and then probably help with the move itself. I figure I'll get hom just in time to start working on my own move. I'd say I'm hoping to get some sleep in Febuary but I'm afraid the fates would comsider that to be a plan and throw something new at me.

Anyone know a good sourse for bulk asprin?

Hope everything turn out for the best.

Just remember you can have some fun at a yard sale. When they ask for a better deal raise the price and then ask a "Better deal for who?"

Well Fenix, the way I see it is you're meant to go to your mom's (fate). It might open up a new way of thinking or doing things, so look at it as an extension to your on-the-go life.

And I hope everything turns out a-ok for your mother. It must be scarey for her! I know a good way you can get her to heal quickly - start telling her everything you know about politics and business while she's laying there in the hospital. Tell her you'll continue until she gets better.

kraft-

Really, wishing you the best fenix! Can't always explain why things go the way they do, just know they are meant to be for that time in your life. Maybe you need this time with each other....who knows?

My plans always go awry!

This is her fourth back surgery so she knows the ropes. Most of the lower half of her spine is fused, now she is having problems up high plus, she needs the lower part "roto-rooted" (my term, not hers) to remove scar tissue and such. She should be out of the hospital in a couple days but then sore as hell and forbidden to lift anything for 4 more weeks. Personally I think she planned this to get out of the drudgery of moving... now she gets to just sick back and direct. That's supposed to be MY job! I'M the one with all the move experience

We get along pretty well. Since we didn't really start talking until a few years ago our relationship is more that of friends than mother/daughter. She's also a very smart woman. A friend of hers has a condo that is walking distance from the house she was trying to rent. That's is where I'm going stay. We may get along but no one is silly enough to think that we could actually live together for two months.

BTW - It's her fault I am like this Krafty. The only "family" meals I remember as a kid were Sunday evening at the same time as 60 Minutes.
