Hey NTS, i think i'd be afraid to try that from them. I'd be afraid that they might put some Kangaroo juice in it or something.
I got my Nicotrol nasal inhalers yesterday, from Walmart pharmacy and with those, wearing the Nicotrol patch, chewing the Nicotrol gum and cutting back to a half a pack a day, i think i've got it about licked.
Seriously though, the first couple of times using it, it burned like the devil, like a hot poker and i sneezed my head off but i've gotten used to it now and the burning has stopped. I haven't smoked since using it. It seems like it is going to work for me. It just barely takes the edge off of my cravings but it's enough to help me to not smoke.
The prescription came with four nasal spray bottles in the box and the dosage is 10 mg. per dose, 5 mg in each nostril. There's enough for about a week but i think that i will be able to stretch it out to 2 weeks, or more because i'm not needing as many dosages as i first thought i would.
I'll let you know in a week or so how it's working for me.
Can't you get those here? I seem to remember a commercial not to long ago about them. If you can afford it, Zyban worked for me the last time I used it. I just couldn't afford the cost of it once my insurance ran out. I was never able to finish the program because of that. It is covered by insurance. I have an appointment next week to try acupuncture for quitting. A friend of mine quit after just one treatment. Can't use the patch. I have an allergy to the adhesive.

Pi, I don't think I could do the nasal one, but glad you got yours! And keep it up, you'll soon be on the 'other side' LOLOL! (smokers and non smokers)
Cheryl, I saw heard of them a long time ago, and think they don't sell them here, but not positive. Actually I only heard of them on the radio. I remember now, it was on Art Bells show, and a commerical came on over and over, about the nicotine inhaler, and how it was 'like a cigarette', it has nicotine in it, but mainly it is something to do with your hands, like you would with cigs. And when the patch came out, I thought this inhaler would be out, and it wasn't. I tried the patch! I lasted a half a day! I do hear the gum is better, I tried it when it first came out, and GOD, it was awful!
I think I'll look for the inhaler here, or better, ask my dr.

I would like to quit using valium - lots and lots and lots and lots of valium. I'm not a heavy smoker, but I notice whenever I start exercising, I smoke much, much less.

I don't know Caroline, when I took valium or xanax, I kinda vegged out, and smoked more!
zyban (or Wellbrutin) helps. You can smoke taking it, unlike the patch, but your desire for cigarettes decreases. (supposed to anyway)
