'DAMAGED NATIONAL SECURITY'
The Drudge Reports:
Tue Nov 08 2005 11:36:31 ET

Sources tell Drudge that early this afternoon House Speaker Hastert and Senate Majority Leader Frist will announce a bicameral investigation into the leak of classified information to the WASHINGTON POST regarding the "black sites" where high value al Qaeda terrorists are being held and interrogated.

Said one Hill source: "Talk about a leak that damaged national security! How will we ever get our allies to cooperate if they fear that their people will be targeted by al Qaeda."

According to sources, the WASHINGTON POST story by Dana Priest (Wednesday November 2) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/01/AR2005110101644_pf.html,

revealed highly classified information that has already done significant damage to US efforts in the War on Terror.

Wow, so partisan. Imagine that... Republicans are going to actually investigate something other than themselves. Gee, I wonder what their "findings" will reveal.

Gee Linda I wonder where all the outrage is over this leak of National Security importnace

This is worse than outing some CIA recruiter.

I knew the left didn't care about the Plame, just a chance at a shot at President Bush.

CIA has a job to do, this is a serious leak and someone has committed treason.

I agree Ron that if a crime was committed then it should be investigated. However, my comments were directed more at the political posturing. It is a disgrace that the Republican leaders are quick to jump when they suspect wrongdoing from others, but stalled, blocked, and covered up as much as they could over the CIA leak that came from their own party. Nothing but two faced politicians who refuse to what is right under all circumstances. That goes for all politicians who pull crap like that.
