Eleven months of the year my car radio is tuned to talk radio.

But we've got a channel here in Dayton that plays nothing but Christmas music from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It's great- the only channel that has music I know all the words for.

But they are running "Feliz Navidad" into the freaking ground. EVERY time I turn it on, that song is playing. 15 words in that song and he just repeats them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

Followed by Paul McCartneys Christmas song, whose name I can't remember right now.

On the other hang "Holly Jolly Christmas" with Burl Ives and just about anything by Bing Crosby is great. And I'm nowhere near old enough to remember these guys even being alive, much less in their prime.

Which songs are your most and least favorite?

That's so funny you two, Neg and Classy, those are two that I find most annoying too. The chipmunks and Grandma got run over. HA!

wow, there is a station here that started Christmas music 24 hrs, the week after Halloween!

My favorites are What Child is This (can do that on the piano) and Drummer Boy

There are some great ones that Judy Collins has, I have the CD, can't remember the songs, but she does Christmas songs really well imo

Heck! I have over 20 Christmas CD's. Worst is the Beach Boys and another rock band.

Hey! Isn't everyone 'supposed' to call it Holiday and not Christmas?

(just had to throw that out there!)

I agree feliz navidad can get annoying after a while and so can that grandma reindeer song.

Like please come for christmas by the eagles, what child is this.. and some of the other classic's when a strong choir does them.

I'll have to agree about the Chipmunks and the Grandma song. My station doesn't play those much anymore- I guess those were unanimously annoying

RAP Christmas songs? I must be listening to the wrong stations, as I didn't even know there were any. My imagination now runs wild:

"I saw Momma stabbing Santa's Ho!"
"Whose child is dis?"
"Grandma got run over by a Buick"
"I'm stealing Mr. White's Christmas"
and so forth

Many of you have mention "What Child Is This"... Is there a particular artist you have in mind? It's an OK song in my opinion, but I don't know of any especially good version.

Frank Sinatra Christmas music? I'm trying really hard to think of something he did that was big (In Christmas Music, I mean... He had LOTS of huge regular hits).

Unless this sound like a really negative thread, I have to point out that there are only half a dozen Xmas songs that make think about turning off the radio, and hundreds that I like a lot.

Blue Christmas is my least favorite - the Porkie Pig rendition comes to mind. Who needs a sappy sad song during what's supposed to be a joyous occasion? My favorite are most performed by the Tran Siberian Orchestra, especially their medleys.

"Who needs a sappy sad song"

I wouldn't call it annoying, exactly, but the one about the Christmas Shoes bugs me.
