T'is the Season of giving, do you re-gift?
Over the years I have received some totally bizarre to downright god awful gifts from people with good intentions if bad taste.
But I have never sent the gift on to another, have you?
The strange thing is that the gifts that I found so bloody awful at the time are the ones that I remember!
Topping the list, a pair of crystal chop stick
rests or holders.. a monkey with a clock in it's belly, dancing and singing flowers in a pot, and a reading light that straps to your forehead like the ones the miners wear!
Care to share some winners you've received?

The worst are scented candles with an odor that permeates the house. I've wrapped them in layers of saran wrap to contain the odor and lined them up on a shelf in the basement where other such gifts reside.

Take a hint then helen.....somebody or more than one person it appears was TRYING to give you a HINT that your house stinks.

especially considering the FACT you've done it since you first came here. You didn't seem to see anything wrong with it then.

And none of your buddies EVER objected, even once, about you doing just this.

C'mon now, some of you must have received some stinkers.
Helen, I love scented candles, but I know what you mean, some scents are over-powering. Are you allergic to perfume?
Oh, I forgot one year I got a can of Road Kill as a gag gift, it was canned meat but with the label stating Road Kill and the name of the hwy. Talk about a Redneck Christmas present!
Mingo, I should have said a statue of a monkey with a clock in it's belly!
My shopping is done! My gifts are wrapped and under the tree, my stockings are hung by the fireside. Now I need to do my baking and I'm all set.

Linda, that's not true at all. I've defended you many times against Crowfarm. Even she will tell you that. As for Maggie, she's given you back what you've dished out to her, imo.
Also, I've never said once that you've ruined the board. I don't think anyone can ruin a board.

My Dad asked me what I wanted for Christmas when I was 12.
I told him clothes and a game.
I got a pair of cover-alls with the front pockets cut out.
He was a dick but I did get clothes and something to play with.

Are you serious? What a horrible thing to do to a 12 year old.
I don't recall getting a gift that was awful. I've gotten some useless ones if those count. I just can't remember what they were.
