Well this time he whispered to Chaney that a certain reporter was an a**hole. Of course he didn't realize that the microphone was on and everyone else heard him too. When he was asked if he was sorry about what he said he said, "he was sorry everyone heard him".
He has been known to say that God told him to run for president. I wonder if God told him to say that too?
What happened to bringing morality and family values back to the White House? Huh, Bush Boy?

Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and John Kennedy did exactly the same thing, and Lyndon Johnson did it almost every day. Even the fabled Jimmy Carter, champion of family values throughout his campaign with morality and honesty thrown in had very choice comments about the press which were occasionally recorded accidentally.
That's enough for you to make judgements of a potential president?
Are you really hoping that there will be a presidential messiah who will restore family values for all through legislature and hyperbole?

Tsk, tsk KRS. No that is not the only reason! Haven't you read all the Bushisms? Besides being coked out, confused, illiterate, incoherent, phoney, and just plain stupid, is there something else I should know?
The family values and morality were his words not mine.

He is a big improvement over that immoral, amoral, lying, draft dodging, wife-cheating, "I feel your pain" piece of crap that is in there now. Just my personal opinion. Heather

Chocolate,
I've long felt that all a president has to do is be amusing, and with that criteria, considering the alternative, George should win, hands down.
Those family and morality nonissues aren't his, they're the other guy's.

My gosh. This is the first time I've actually opened and READ a Bush Boy thread, since I thought they must have to do with the "Survivor" nonsense. (No judgment on those who are subscribing to it, but living in NYC puts a damper on your enthusiasm for watching people eat rats and pick each other off, which is what I've heard the show's about.)
On second thought, maybe I was right. Carry on.

I think that's a fair response, and I bet the reporter is an a**hole.
Anyone remember (I don't) when a radio microphone picked up Reagan saying that
Congress passed legislation outlawing the USSR and bombing would commence in 5 minutes?

Yeah I wonder what happened to all those 'family values' when first the, now President, first lied, then told the truth about having some kind of sexual thing going on with an aid. No one seems to remember these things
OH yeah he told the truth, so then it made it ok, oh yeah... its ok if you tell the truth later.

I remember! I remember! It was a slightly used penis pump! At first he said it was broken, then he disappeared--so we know it works.

krs is correct when he says you can call folks uncomplimentary names as long as they are not registered users. I remember a week here last year when it was all the rage to refer to members of the non-registered world as dickheads.

Oh man... I don't know who to vote for. Both are terrible choices. Bush is religious, Gore a "born-again Christian" -- which is fine for the general population but I don't want politicians legislating on the basis of religion. Both preach morality, Bush would outlaw abortion. Gore will veto bills which would do away with the estate tax. Did anyone see him pretending to be black and talking about "our people" at the NAACP convention?
I don't think I can vote for either of these fleebs in good conscience.

I think it's necessary to think more broadly in this election (since it seems to be impossible to get excited over either of them). What will each candidate's impact be? IMO, the most important issue is that there will be at least two Supreme Court appointments in the next four years.
Who's Supreme Court choices would you prefer; Dubya's or Al's?
James.

Spaz,
With "when it was all the rage to refer to members of the non-registered world as dickheads" I believe that you have erred.
The plural usage is incorrect and the 'non-registered world' would be more appropriately termed 'the nether world'.
