Is it just me or this woman they use for the translations of the Drs comments the most bored sounding woman you have ever heard? She has no affect. It's almost impossible to tell the difference between a question being asked and an answer being given.

Havent listened to it, but hubby says he is gone already and they are just waiting to get things in place b4 they tell us. Said that is what they did with Arafat, but I dont remember all that.

There were reports that right afterwards Drs were ready to pronounce his dead and his sons said no and to leave him on support. Physically he is still alive and apparently actually making progress (with Arafat there was "no change in condition" but even if he does come out of this, he's not going to ever be able to live and function independently.
I don't understand why they waited so long to schedule the surgery after his first stroke. Had they gone in and fixed the hole in his heart that resulted in the first one immediately they could have limited the blood thinners that caused the second one.

The flat affect is standard procedure for translators so as not to project any infrences into the speaker's words.
