I was just exhausted, now I am exhausted and horse.

300 boxes, over 150 pieces of furniture and a 40ft truck loaded back to front, top to bottom later the packing is done and the truck is on the road. Got everything done in time to catch the from the 2nd quarter on in the Steelers game and ...... well damn... you didn't even have to be a football fan to appreciate that one.

I may be rooting for the Broncos next week but I honestly would not be all that disappointed to see the Steelers win. That is one hell of a team.

Now - back to work - ebay somehow got the idea that all of my UK listings have free shipping so on top of everything else i need to do on my end before we leave in the morning, I have to revise over 800 auctions.

No rest for the wicked I guess.

Everyone try to behave yourself while I am gone - I'll be looking forward to some recaps when I return.

Hang in there Fenix. I know your mom's surgery and move have been a trying time from your descriptions.

You don't want to give free shipping to the UK?...jk That sucks to have to revise all your listings.

happy trails to you until we meet again...

I think the Seahawks are going all the way. I don't see Carolina beating them at home.

Yup, I only watch baseball for the half-time show and the beer commercials. No cork in this bat.

Quickie update... two days on the road, scheduled to arrive this evening but ..... it's been suggested that we visit El Paso (on the opposite side of the state) first. Apparently the house is not going to be done on time and there is concern that my mother may kill the builder causing further delays.... We are officially displaced

Lesson learned - performance penalties in new home contacts are a good idea.

Sorry to hear that. There's nothing like a side road trip, however! Go see the sights, relax for a little bit. You're going to need all of your energy! I don't envy what you have ahead of yourself. I hate moving!

Classic, the only thing that has changed is the highway is better now.

Maggie, if she stays on her current path, she will drive thru San Antonio on her way to Corpus.

Fenix, If you stop in San Antonio for food find a "Mama's Cafe" (from I-10 E to East 410 N Loop to 2442 Nacogdoches Rd)

All of us need to get our eyes checked. Fenix said "t's been suggested that we visit El Paso (on the opposite side of the state) first".

If ElPaso is on the opposite side of the state, she is entering from the east, Beaumont or Texarkana, and won't be passing near San Antonio.

Talk to us Fenix...

Maggie, would that move be with or without Mr Muffins?

I'm not sure where Fenix started out from or where she is headed? I thought I read Texas, but where in Texas?

Bear, if Mr.Muggins is still alive after Mexico, I'll be moving back with him.

Well - I was in Junction (Coopers BBQ - yum!)when I posted this morning. Once we got in the car my mother decided that there was no way in hell she was going to be told not to go to the house she has been waiting for all this time when she was that close so we defied orders (passed thru san Antonio but didn't stop - we were on a mission!).

Luckily the one thing that was decided was that me sleeping on the couch of the steps family members was not the best idea so I am at a hotel down the street. Saw the house this afternoon and well... it is beautiful but there is MUCH work to be done. I thought the work would begin when the truck arrives next week... turns out it started about twenty minutes after we arrived.

Oh well - at least it's much mini fixes. At the end of the day, the house is beautiful and I am super jealous of the art studio.

Even with all of the things still left to do over the next few days my biggest job is going to keep the two of them from getting lost in the stress. Think I'll have to push my mental meltdown back a little bit longer.
