When I see magazine covers with this heading, I'm always shocked at who they pick and what their ideas of sexy is.

Who would you pick as the sexiest man ALIVE?

still living the glory days of military service, huh Classic...

just curious, but are you one of those guys who sits on the toilet for an hour flipping through their old high school year book dreaming of days lost or bragging about being an All-City Linebacker?

well gosh darn Rusty-I put the pic up there as a joke-Im sorry my military pic upset you so much you had to make some stupid comment in a fun post.Quite frankly I was proud to serve this country in the U.S.Navy.What service were you in? As far as me bragging about being an all-city linebacker,if you knew anything about sports at all(which I seriously doubt) you could tell by looking at me I wasnt built to be a linebacker. However I was a pitcher in high school and in the Navy.I played in Hawaii in Aug-Sept-Oct of 1965.My record was 7-4 with an era of 3.75.Was that good? By todays standards yes-back 40 years ago no-I was just an average pitcher...well damn Rusty,I guess I cant brag about that can I??

now see this pic Rusty-that is the teams bus to the right of me-we traveled in style.Behind that is my ship-and ya know what is waving in the wind in the back of the ship? YES its the American flag-one Im damn proud of. Im 19 here and this was the last day we were in port before we sailed for Vietnam. The problem was Rusty I never made Admiral,so my navy career sucked-I guess I cant brag about that either. Since then I have played Ice Hockey-snow skied, water skied back in the 70's and 80's-now that Im an old fart, they have been replaced by tennis, and golf-again the problem was I never excelled at any of these, and it I cant brag about these either-As far as sitting on the tiolet and flipping thru my high school year book and reliving days lost-well there again is a problem because having moved 5 times I have misplaced it-so I cant do that either. Now I just sit on the tiolet for an hour and read the New York Post............ and wipe my ass with the New York Times. Ya know what Rusty...it just sucks to be me!
As John Kennedy said "ask not what your country can do for you,but what can you do for your country" So Rusty..enlighten us all and tell us what have you done for your country??

Ralphie's Barrister has replied with the following charming little ditty:

"When Classic would visit Nantucket,
The girls all ran screaming: "STUFF IT!"
We'd rather first die,
Than go out with a guy,
Who smells like he just KICKED THE BUCKET!"

Classic, you know what Johnny Cochran said:
The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.

Repealed is never the same as Appealed.

So we'll wait for which marmalatte will step in orange. Most likely it will be crowfarm.

classic- your photos reminded me of my father. he took alot of pride in his accomplishments, but how he did it was quite amusing to most. He played high school football, and in alot of ways reminded me of Hank Hill, always reliving the glory days. He was a US Marine, and served his country in Vietnam where a hand grenade blew out his knee. I clearly remember my father waking up in the middle of the night screaming from nightmares of war. So, if you take what I say as an insult, please don't. It was just a friendly poke.

I personally had no interest in "joining" the military, especially after knowing everything from my own family experiences. I chose to go to college, and focus on a career that would allow myself to help others through education and mental health. I grew up in Michigan, where we generally had two choices for a career. We could work in an auto parts factory or join the military. Fortunately, my family moved to Florida before I graduated high school, and college was an opportunity I took.

I am proud of all of my friends who served in the military though. I have friends who are career squids, grunts, and jarheads. I lived in a military town (Jacksonville) and worked on base while finishing community college before moving on to Florida State.

All I can say to you, is thanks for serving this country.

I'm going to try to get this back on track. Mel Gibson would be my choice! Followed by Tom and Classic, of course.

I love Mel Gibson , and Tom and Classy gave me goosebumps LOL. I was raised on Military bases and men in uniform always hold a strong appeal to this day... but I have to go with George Clooney....for some reason his eyes just melt me

Thanks Rusty-that is APPRECIATED!

But dont fall for Toms B.S.

The REAL Navy use to call the Coast Guard "bath tub sailors"....and for good reason. All these "coasties" ever did was patrol up and down the coast, protecting us from what I dont know, while the REAL Navy was patrolling the Planet. The reason they only patrolled the coast was, after they got outside the 3 mile limit, they got lost!

Yo Tom-I spotted the two stripes on your sleeve, may I assume your rating at the time was the same as the Navys "seaman apprentice" ?

Cheryl & Crossroadstrader, I've NEVER seen the guys being so chatty - it's been a hoot reading it all (and not just on this thread). Who cares about who's sexiest when we have these testosterone-laden guys?

I love how Colin has accused everyone of being gay now. Next it will be 'gay liar'.
