We caught my sister and put her back into the institution. I have taken over her auction business, she designs from her padded cell. We love her, but her genius is more than we can bear as I am sure you all know. Thanks for being understanding. I am sure after the shock therapy she will be much better.

Well, I am holding up pretty good under the circumstances. She has been my sister for a long time and I love her but she was always a very unique individual. She is a fine artist and designer, but she forgets to take her medication and we all pay for it.

Sad to witness the interior ravages of a frayed and aging genius.

I am glad to hear of you feelings of sympathy Antiquary. Although she is really not that old, she is 33. She is actually my older sister, I am 29. Most people never really thought of her as the oldest. Before they bound and gagged her, she gave me this site and said to tell all her dear friends about her unfortunate descent into complete madness. She was also screaming about someone name parny and cheyenne.

I thought perhaps in her designs that she had excavated too much Greek mythology; that's likely to do it every time. One can only sacrifice so much for the sake of art without the strain showing. But a word to the wise: at all costs keep her away from Sylvia Plath.

Odd that you should mention Plath. She read far too much in college about her. We were all concerned when we saw her room stuffed with Plath books, everywhere. Of course she loved the "BellJar" and murmured over the rest. It was during this time that she was admitted to the University of Alabama student mental health unit for observation. She said the pressure between having to choose between being a sorority type girl or an artist was more than she could bear, she cracked. Anyway, if you are an artist (and a woman) in Alabama, most people figure it won't be long until you are put into Bryce Mental Hospital.

Hmmmm! Sounds like the classical orthus complex or could be cerberus depending on the complexity.
At any rate, good luck with it all. I'm sure that you will need it.

She "cracked"?
How painful that must have been!
