If lowly humble Ebay sellers have feedback files, why cant doctors have feedback files??
I mean MD-medical doctors/shaman/witchdoctors!
How do we know which doctor we should choose??
I am serious, most medical directory issued have such profile of their doctors- where they attended schools, where they practice and personal information such as size of the family, love to eat ice cream, read books, love their kids, collect stamps, love to travel??
What about their ability, bedside manner, customer service of their staff, fee, cleanliness of their office etc etc??
I only find out about the doctor in the waiting room from other patients,by then it is too late.

Actually in some countries there are ratings services for hospitals and doctors. You can find out beforehand what the survival rate is for your particular surgery at the hospital, and so shop around for the surgical team that has the fewest losses and post-op complications.

It's never too late. You find these things out by asking the doctors questions. You have to realise that your doctors work for you. You are in charge of your own healthcare. I've fired doctors before and taken my records with me to another one.

Do you pay him for that visit, when you fire him and take the file with you?
Dont forget time is money too,and when you are sick, you dont want to hop from doc to doc.
It is good to know where they attended school,to see a photo and what they like to do in their spare time(like eating a large bowl of ice cream and chocolate),but what about how good they are in treating patients and how well their office is run.
I dont mind patient feedback,if they want to leave me feedback, thats mighty fine with me.
By the way,I like to eat icecream too!

What is it any of your business what someone does in their spare time?
Ever hear of privacy? You can care about their credentials, but their private life is thier own.
Is everything in your life an open book?

I gotta go with Ron on this one, it isn't any of my business what they do in their off time, however, if they like to eat big bowls of ice cream they can't be all bad, unless it's that fruity flavored stuff. he can't be a man cuz he doesn't eat the same brand of ice cream as me.
You can find out alot about your doctor and how they run their practice by simple observation and if you see any of their diploma's hanging on the wall you can note from which school they are from and then do some internet searches. I looked up my doctor's school records on the internet, in fact I even commented on it to her and she asked how I knew about it and I told her that I looked it up on the internet. She was kinda surprised.
Another thing I can suggest is to ask to look at your file periodically. You can sometimes find out information that they aren't telling you and then discuss it with them.

whether they eat icecream or not is not my business,it is listed in the medical directory for every one to read.
But how often does a sick patient goes from doc office to office so he can look up his diplomas on the wall and examine his bathroom and how his staff run the office??
I hope you guys dont ever get sick and dont ever run into a doctor who is too busy eating ice cream to come to the phone.
have a good day ,assholes!!
