Breaking News: A provincial council member has said gunmen stopped buses carrying factory workers northeast of Baghdad and killed 47 people.
Turmoil in Iraq
SAMARRA, Iraq (Feb. 23) - Insurgents posing as police destroyed the golden dome of one of Iraq's holiest Shiite shrines Wednesday, setting off an unprecedented spasm of sectarian violence. Angry crowds thronged the streets, militiamen attacked Sunni mosques, and at least 19 people were killed.
With the gleaming dome of the 1,200-year-old Askariya shrine reduced to rubble, some Shiites lashed out at the United States as partly to blame.
The violence - many of the 90 attacks on Sunni mosques were carried out by Shiite militias - seemed to push Iraq closer to all-out civil war than at any point in the three years since the U.S.-led overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

Actually, classic, ..hate to say it...but they have improved things there quite a bit. You'd be surprized if you went back to it.

CLASSIC,
Don't like AOL news try any other news they are all running the same story. A couple more examples below.
Source: Reuters
Feb 23 (Reuters) - Iraqi religious and government leaders as well as international officials have condemned the bomb attack that destroyed a Shi'ite Muslim mosque in Samarra on Wednesday.
There have also been calls for calm after violent Shi'ite reprisals against Sunnis following the attack, raising fears of civil war in Iraq.
Deadly reprisals follow bombing of Shiite mosque
At least 54 killed, 50 Sunni mosques attacked

(CNN) -- Sectarian strife resulting from Wednesday's attack on a Shiite mosque in Samarra continued to be felt throughout Iraq Thursday morning, when six bodies -- all presumed to be Sunni -- were found by Iraqi police in the al-Dora neighborhood of southern Baghdad, Iraqi emergency police said.

dblfugger9,
Is right they destroy the shrine then blame the U.S.
Now DUMBO Bush says don't worry the U.S. will spend our tax dollars to restore the shrine.

I think that this is the move that is going to see AQ cutting all ties with Zarqawi. They arleady told him knock off killing fellow muslims. They cetainly are not going to be happy about him destrying a major piece of Islamic history not to mention pushing the country towards a civil war. That was just stupid. On an upnote, he's now turned a few hundred thousand more Iraqi citizens into possible informants for the US military out to find him.

One minute Fenox03 and Bear, I don't have any film bear is quacking about. I don't know who blew up the mosque but for sure it wasn't the Americans.
Since we didn't blow up the mosque. I am 100% against DUMBO BUSH offering U.S. Tax dollars and people to rebuild the mosque.
Frankly, I believe DUMBO Bush is on the verge of losing his mind and headed to a padded room. NO KIDDING!!!!
It will be interesting to watch WHO Bob Dole spending Arab money will be able to buy to support this SECRET Sea Port deal.

The bombing of this shrine was a terrible thing to have happen. The grandchildren of Mohammad are supposedly buried there and it has been a sacred place for centuries. It was visited at one time by both Shiities and Sunnis peacefully. No matter who did it and no matter what the reason, it was inexcusable.

NO KIDDING, TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE DUMBO BUSH IS HEADED TO A PADDED ROOM.
THE GUY HAS LOST ALL CONTROL OF HIS GOVERNMENT. HE IS COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH WITH EVENTS. I BELIEVE HE HAS BECOME DELUSIONAL ABOUT IRAQ.
I WILL SAY AGAIN, I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE AMERICAN LIVES LOST IN IRAQ. I ALSO DO NOT WANT ANY MORE OF MY TAX MONEY BEING SPENT FOR ANYTHING IN IRAQ EXCEPT TO BRING OUR TROOPS HOME.
I WILL REMIND YOU BOTH IF THAT IS RANTING THEN MILLIONS OF AMERICANS ARE RANTING WITH ME.
