This is pretty old news, and the article leaves out one really important little detail. In Mac OS X, an admin password is required before ANYTHING will install. So, unless this dipstick was logged in as root and surfing the internet, he had to physically click the allow button for the nasty to install. Either way, he deserves an award for stupidity.
Nobody is completely safe, but Mac remains far safer that windows, and harder to create nasties for. According to the article, 81 Mac vulnerabilities have been identified. Windows had 812 in 05 alone.
